Starting in April, I guaranteed four updates a day, with occasional bursts. During the nine consecutive double-vote days, there were no fewer than eight updates a day. There were a few more small bursts afterward, and this month, there have been no fewer than four updates every day.
What all that means is that Pighead has no ability to burst-update today, tomorrow, or over the next few days.
There are still nine days left this month. Pighead won't be able to write for six of them. I have something to do this Saturday, and on the 27th I'm going back to Hunan for my father's birthday. Everyone knows Pighead doesn't fly, and that costs time. If I went home to celebrate my father's birthday and still had to write, Pighead might as well not go back at all. So, there are six days when I can't write.
But Pighead really wants first place in this month's monthly votes—really, really wants it. You all do too, right?
Pighead will fulfill the promise of four guaranteed updates a day this month. In the three days when I can write, Pighead will write like crazy—write three days' worth of chapters to cover nine days of updates: thirty-six chapters. On top of that, Pighead wants to do two small burst days, adding another eight chapters. Forty-four chapters in three days, an average of thirteen chapters written per day.
If Pighead posted however much I wrote during those three days, what would that look like? Sadly, I can't.
I originally thought I wouldn't need to burst-update at the end of the month and could prepare slowly. But two small bursts in the previous week already used up two days' worth of updates. Now the gap is getting smaller and smaller—if I don't burst, it won't
