"Such a huge fellow!" Donkey craned his head, staring at the handsome yet coldly merciless face of that archangel.

Nearly all angels looked alike. Other than telling their status from the number of their wings, there was simply no way to distinguish who was who by their facial features. Handsome, indifferent—or rather, cruel and heartless—this was the sole impression every member of the Angel Legion gave others.

This heavily wounded archangel before them was no exception. Several of the wings on his back had nearly been severed completely, his left arm had been cut off at the shoulder, and his right calf had broken into several pieces. Yet he limped slowly forward, step after staggering step, without the slightest change in the rhythm of his stride or the length of each step.

"Watch out!" Lin Qi called out to the Tiger Guards beside him. "This thing isn't like those things outside. It can't be—"

Before Lin Qi could finish, the archangel moved abruptly. His body swayed, and he appeared before Lin Qi like a ghost. The twelve-meter giant sword of light silently drew a dazzling arc as it chopped down from Lin Qi's left shoulder. Every hair on Lin Qi's body stood on end in fright. He instinctively sprang backward, and the light sword nearly sliced down right past his nose.

With a thunderous CLANG, a Tiger Guard raised his great axe and viciously blocked the light sword.

The low-grade demigod artifact great axe erupted in blinding flames and gave a piercing groan. Amid scattering sparks, the axe blade was torn open by the light sword, leaving a crack half a foot long. The Tiger Guard let out a muffled grunt and shot backward like a cannonball, slamming headfirst into the cliff beside him.

Heaven Mountain's body was exceptionally sturdy.
