Moon God Lusjia's expression was strange as she looked at the divine soul floating in the air, one that had lost all consciousness.
This unlucky elven goddess's divine soul had not been destroyed, but all her awareness had been utterly obliterated by the Dragon Witch King using necromantic divine arts. What floated before Lin Qi and the others now was merely a pure divine soul, one that did not even know its own name.
"Did you kill her?" The Moon God glanced at Lin Qi and the others.
Covered from head to toe in blood, Lin Qi let out a sinister laugh. He glanced at Hu Xinzhu and Sha Xinyue, then slowly nodded. "Moon Goddess Mirth suddenly appeared with her subordinate gods and tried to ambush us. We fought back desperately and killed one of them. Then the Eye of the Void detected the aura we leaked."
Lusjia sneered several times before nodding. "Then it must have been the Minstrel of the Moon who drew her here, right? That hypocritical, treacherous woman—back when I was severely wounded and my strength had fallen to merely the level of a lower-ranking Low-God, she sensed the aura of the laws of the moon within me and suddenly appeared to ambush me!"
She clenched her fists fiercely, and Lusjia's face darkened beyond measure as she recounted some of the old grudges between herself and the Moon Goddess.
Moon Goddess Mirth had been born of noble blood among the elven gods. She was a direct descendant of several of the most ancient elven divine clans. Meanwhile, Lusjia, once the Goddess of Night, had likewise been born into the sacred imperial line of the Ashir Clan and possessed one of its most exalted bloodlines.
