The falling blood plasma melted a great lake a hundred miles across into the ground. Molten rock mixed with divine blood, bubbling endlessly in the lake with a "gurgle, gurgle, gurgle."

The Dawn God and the God of Retribution hid behind the massive pyramid, watching the Screeching Lord with smug satisfaction as he fired vast beams of light again and again at a steady rhythm.
