A terrible disaster descended upon the goblins and their gods. Their spiritual leader, Yakeya, had led a large number of powerful goblin gods to attend the feast of the elven Gods. In the end, Yakeya and several hundred of the strongest goblin gods were wiped out in one stroke, dying miserably from an unknown Godfall Potion.
Even more horrifying was that this Godfall Potion worked only on goblin gods and was utterly harmless to other gods.
While poisoning Yakeya, the Green Moon Empress had also sent great numbers of elves to deliver countless wines, fresh fruits, roasted meats, and other delicacies to the goblins. Completely unsuspecting, the goblin gods drank the wine delivered by the elves amid laughter and chatter. Then, one after another, their bones went limp as mud and they collapsed to the ground, utterly powerless as the elves launched a wholesale slaughter upon them.
Piercing screams, wails, furious curses, and shouted abuse rang through the clouds. Yet louder than all those sounds was the wet splurt of the elves swinging their Butcher Knives and severing head after head. Whether powerful goblin gods or ordinary goblin citizens, under the Green Moon Empress's orders and led by the elven Gods, the elves took turns slaughtering their way through them.
With the elven settlement as its core, vast pyramids of heads were piled up. At the peak of the largest pyramid sat Yakeya's head. Yakeya bared his fangs and widened his muddled, vacant eyes, as though he did not understand why he had died beneath the Butcher Knives of his own "allies." Or perhaps he was already dead, yet still could not believe that he had truly met such a miserable end.
