At the other end of the teleportation array lay a murky, chaotic world where daylight never reached.
The sky was a dim, muddy yellow, as though countless layers of mist had been firmly pressed over their heads. It looked close enough to touch if one raised a hand, creating an incomparably oppressive feeling. The ground was blackish-red, like the color of dried human blood, a sight shocking to the extreme.
The land here was utterly barren, covered in thick gravel—blackish-red gravel. In the distance stood gaunt, skeletal peaks. The blackish-red mountains were piled upon the earth like the remains of corpses, and upon those deathly silent peaks, countless strange figures could vaguely be seen, some standing, some sitting or lying down.
None of these figures, tall or short, looked human. They only vaguely possessed human forms; in every detail, they were no different from demons. The few figures closest to the teleportation magic array, for example, stood over ten meters tall. Their legs alone were seven or eight meters long, yet those skeletal legs were like withered reeds, while their torsos were bloated like balls.
The bloated upper bodies of these strange figures were wrapped in thick armor. Their thin arms, nearly as long as their legs, hung at their sides. Two eerie points of green light glimmered on their elongated heads, while hoarse, deep breathing occasionally rumbled from within their chests.
The figures stood beside the teleportation magic array and watched for a while. Then they slowly ambled a few steps to one side, stopped, and looked back again. When Lord Cloud Nether, the first to be thrown into the teleportation magic array, abruptly erupted from the magical flames, the strange figures suddenly let out roars of uncontrollable excitement.
Like wolves spotting prey, they spread their long, thin arms
