"Kill all the humans! Eat them all!" These locust-like creatures were descendants bred by the Fallen Gods over countless years in the underground world. They possessed the lowliest bloodlines and the weakest strength, yet they were also the most numerous kind of offspring. As the saying went, enough ants could bite an elephant to death. In theory, given enough demigods, even a chief god could be slain. These giant locusts were the war fodder the Fallen Gods had cultivated according to that very idea.
The giant locusts pouring out of the underground hole, more than ten miles wide, shot straight into the sky like a black pillar. They squeezed against one another, shoved one another, collided with one another, and amid piercing shrieks, curses, venomous imprecations, and roars, they surged ten thousand meters into the air with the force of Thunder, then swiftly flew in every direction.
As these giant locusts spread their wings and took flight, their wings rubbed and crashed together, forming a thick black cloud that blotted out the sky. Sunlight gleamed upon their blackish-green membranous wings, illuminating their enormous, savage bodies—bodies like those of locusts, yet crowned with heads seven or eight parts similar to those of humans.
These grotesque monsters had been trapped in the underground world for countless years, able only to fill their bellies with earth and ore. Their powerful digestive systems could certainly digest and absorb even soil and minerals, but steaming blood and flesh, delicious human brains, and sweet, intoxicating souls were what they truly loved!
A force of five thousand Magic Beast cavalrymen hovered in the air less than twenty miles from the hole. Once those frenzied demonic insects rushed into the sky, in the blink of an eye, the giant locusts flooding in from every direction completely engulfed them.
