Lin Qi looked up just in time to see a tall, delicate-featured bald woman swooping down through the air. Silver claw gauntlets a foot long covered all ten of her fingers. Countless evil spirits had been carved into those sharp claws, which flashed coldly as they clawed down at Lin Qi's head.

As the bald woman struck, hundreds of medium-sized demonic wheels over twenty meters in diameter suddenly dropped straight down from the dark clouds overhead. Crowds of black-robed Heavenly Temple members stood upon them, chanting scriptures as they rode the droning waves of sound toward Zhao Lu and the old eunuchs.

There were tens of thousands of these Heavenly Temple clerics. Most of them radiated only Heaven-rank or Earth-rank strength.
