Background
Arthur was sent to the Black Tiger Family as a child and adopted by Blackbeard. Blackbeard later revealed that Arthur had been a “wolf cub” from the beginning; keeping him alive and well served to preserve Blackbeard's reputation for loyalty. On Arthur's fifteenth birthday, Blackbeard secretly crippled his cultivation and eventually intended to send him back to his biological father's territory to die in an alien invasion. 114
While living in Dunkirk, Arthur sought to inherit Blackbeard's wealth and influence. He negotiated with Lord Elham, offering loyalty in exchange for Church assistance against his adoptive father, though he did not wish to personally harm Blackbeard. 47
Arthur later helped bring about Lin Qi's imprisonment in the Black Abyss Divine Prison. Blackbeard retaliated after Lin Qi's return, leaving Arthur physically devastated; the Temple of Punishment restored him with rare divine medicines due to his nominal blood connection to Gerdas. 601
Appearance
Arthur is a tall, handsome man with fiery red hair, violet eyes, and an appearance carefully cultivated to project princely authority and divine favor. 578 582
- Early descriptions identify him as one-eyed. 228 250
- Wore a purple velvet robe and an abyssal demon-gold hair ring during his tenure as North Sea governor. 578
- Has a small mustache and a polished, aristocratic presentation. 578
- His violet eyes have been described as containing golden sacred-patterned cross emblems. 578
- Frequently appears in ornate golden armor or formal princely dress. 1198 1323
Personality
Arthur is intensely ambitious and status-conscious. He relishes luxury, noble recognition, and the feeling of superiority afforded by his rank, openly enjoying privileges such as receiving a major share of the continent's Blueglow Phosphor Shrimp harvest. 578
He is calculating and ruthless in pursuit of authority. He betrayed former allies, used confidants as shields, conscripted commoners on a massive scale, and was prepared to sacrifice armies and allies to secure wealth, territory, and political leverage. 250 997 1246
Despite his arrogance, Arthur is deeply survival-driven. When facing overwhelming danger, he repeatedly fled through divine items or relied on Diogo's protection; later, he accepted becoming Diogo's “dog” rather than die. 252 1282 1328
