He is highly concerned with preserving his public image. During his confrontation with Lin Xiao, he restrains himself partly because Wang Dong's death could expose his disregard for his daughter; later, he lies about the battle's outcome to persuade the Shrek Seven Devils to descend. 187 189

Tang San's divine sense confronts Lao Yao and attempts to bargain for release by offering entry into the God Realm. Lao Yao suppresses it with Bone Chilling Cold Fire, leaving Tang San alarmed by the appearance of a force capable of affecting him. 35 53

Tang San sends Daming and Erming to investigate the disturbance, directing them toward the Soul Master Tournament and potential exceptional talents. He intends to either recruit useful people into the Tang Sect or eliminate them if they are connected to the threat. 53

Shrek and Huo Yuhao Plan

As Shrek weakens, Tang San coordinates with Ah Yin to force Huo Yuhao's growth. Ah Yin helps Huo Yuhao reach Level 40 and gives him Tang San's Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record, while Tang Hao adjusts his absorption of Plane Consciousness to aid the same goal. 159

Tang San also identifies Lin Xiao through Wang Dong's memories and considers using him as a stepping stone to help Huo Yuhao overcome inner demons. 159

Battle at Mingdu Arena

Tang San descends after Lin Xiao and Xiao Linger kill Daming, Erming, and Yan Shaozhe. He confronts Lin Xiao while Wang Dong is held hostage, allowing Lin Xiao to provoke him into a disadvantageous fight. 185 187

After Wang Dong's body is destroyed and her soul taken, Tang San attacks at full strength. Lin Xiao counters with the Buddha's Fury Fire Lotus, shattering most of Tang San's Sea God Eight Wings and leaving him severely wounded. 187 188

Manipulation of the Shrek Seven Devils

Following his retreat, Tang San claims that Lin Xiao was injured and convinces the Shrek Seven Devils to descend to Douluo Continent for Wang Dong's sake. The group agrees despite Tang San concealing the true result of his battle with Lin Xiao. 189

God Realm Blockade

Unable to defeat Lin Xiao directly, Tang San plans to seal the God Realm through the Central Hub and wait for Lin Xiao and his allies to die of old age. He sends those who know his affairs to the lower realm, intending to eliminate threats to his control of the God Realm. 221 232

When challenged by Destruction, Tang San claims that the blockade protects the God Realm from Outer Heavenly Demons. His deception becomes increasingly untenable after the disappearance of Douluo Continent and the discovery that the Shrek Seven Devils are missing. 234 235 236

Lin Xiao shares his memories with Destruction and Life, exposing Tang San's actions. Destruction accepts the evidence, punishes Tang San's subordinate Zhou Weiqing, and brings Lin Xiao into the God Realm. 238 239
