After reading Kitahara Kaede’s diary, Uchiha Madara learned how his future defection led to the Uchiha Clan’s exclusion from Hokage succession and eventual massacre. Furious at Shimura Danzō and the clan’s future leaders, he blamed their weakness and resolved that the Uchiha should have been controlled through strength.
