Ch. 383The Game Party

Liu Zhi joined Kapuda’s guild party to enter a small world formed from the Big Boss Inalarex’s dream. After learning how the dream missions worked, the party entered the world together.

  • Liu Zhi chose Videnina as his only companion while the other players brought several companions each.
  • Dorkat and Kapuda introduced themselves and explained that Liu Zhi would fill the party’s healer and support role.
  • Karishi and Daklai introduced themselves as the party’s rogue and ice mage.
  • Kapuda explained that the small world was Inalarex’s recurring dream, where players fought monsters for experience and could earn valuable rewards.
  • Kapuda led the party through the oasis entrance, and Liu Zhi entered the game.

Ch. 384Game Mission

Liu Zhi and his companions entered a sea-bound game world where they had to reach an island and uncover the Immortal’s secret. Kapuda explained that their first priority was retrieving a stolen bottle of wine before confronting the Snake King’s avatars.

  • Liu Zhi arrived in a stormy sea after a giant turtle swallowed him in the opening cutscene, and Kapuda and the others prepared their gear.
  • Liu Zhi discovered that he had the identity of a sailor aboard a fleet seeking the Island Country and its legendary Immortal.
  • The game assigned the group tasks to find the Immortal, kill the King of Venom Fangs and mutants, collect herbs and mutant skin, and retrieve stolen Bordeaux wine.
  • Kapuda explained that killing the King of Venom Fangs would strengthen the remaining avatars and said the group should first handle the stolen wine task.

Ch. 385Encountering the Enemy

Liu Zhi and Kapuda’s group searched the sea for the stolen wine, hoping to trade it for a ship, and reached a reef occupied by Sea Nagas. After Liu Zhi identified the Nagas’ different shields and explained their ages, Kapuda began assigning roles for the fight.

  • Kapuda explained that the group needed to find the 99-year-old Bordeaux Wine and trade it for a ship before they could face the King of Venomous Snakes.
  • Karishi determined the direction of nearby land, and the five players traveled across the stormy sea toward it.
  • The group found eleven Sea Nagas armed with spears and shields on a reef bank.
  • Liu Zhi identified the small round shields as belonging to adult Sea Nagas and the Square Shields as belonging to juveniles, then advised attacking the adults first.
  • Kapuda assigned Dorkat to hold off the enemies and told Sandru to protect Dorkat.

Ch. 386Facing the Sea Nagas

Liu Zhi and Kapuda’s party began a coordinated fight against five adult Sea Nagas, using freezing shots, poison, blinding magic, and melee attacks to bring down their enemies. As the unconscious Sea Naga awakened and charged the rogue, Liu Zhi prepared to use Reverse Storm.

  • Kapuda opened the fight by freezing one adult Sea Naga with a crossbow bolt and called on the group to show their abilities.
  • The rogue knocked another Sea Naga unconscious, and Liu Zhi blinded the approaching Nagas with Flash Explosion.
  • Dorkat charged and fought a Sea Naga while the mage slowed her with ice arrows, allowing Dorkat to kill her with his Short Axe.
  • Dorkat blocked attacks from the remaining Nagas as Kapuda poisoned one and the rogue stabbed another in the back.
  • Dorkat knocked the wounded Sea Naga back, and Kapuda killed her with a crossbow bolt between the brows.
  • The Sea Naga the rogue had knocked unconscious woke and leapt toward him, so Liu Zhi raised his hand and called out Reverse Storm.

Ch. 387Snowstorm

Liu Zhi and his companions coordinated their attacks to defeat the Sea Naga, with Daklai’s Blizzard killing the gathered group while Liu Zhi kept Dorkat alive. After the battle, the group began preparing to loot the corpses, and Liu Zhi considered turning them into Corpse Soul Naga.

  • Liu Zhi used Reverse Storm to blind the Sea Naga, giving his companions an opening to kill the poisoned one and attack the rest.
  • Kapuda ordered Karishi to fight the frozen adult Sea Naga, Dorkat to draw the immature Sea Naga together, and Daklai to attack them.
  • Dorkat lured the Sea Naga toward himself with his shield, while Liu Zhi healed him and Daklai unleashed Blizzard on the group.
  • The Sea Naga fell after two rounds of Blizzard, and Liu Zhi healed Dorkat and Karishi.
  • Dupka considered how to loot the corpses, while Liu Zhi considered turning them into Corpse Soul Naga.

Ch. 388Rest and Recovery

After the group defeated the Sea Naga, Liu Zhi turned their corpses into two Sea Splitters while they rested and planned their search for the 1999 Bordeaux Wine. Liu Zhi and Dorkat discussed their weaknesses in battle, but Kapuda spotted something just as their preparations ended.

  • Kapuda searched the Sea Naga corpses and found a D+ spear and a Transcendent sapphire, which Karishi claimed for her daggers.
  • Liu Zhi converted the twelve Sea Naga corpses into two Corpse Soul Naga called Sea Splitters and assigned them to follow Videnina.
  • Kapuda explained that their identities in the game replaced people whose written destinies would lead them toward their missions, including the 1999 Bordeaux Wine.
  • Liu Zhi warned Dorkat that his healing could not keep up if Dorkat were surrounded again, and Dorkat concluded they should avoid chaotic battles.
  • Kapuda suddenly pointed out something nearby.

Ch. 389The Goblin Who Steals Things

Liu Zhi and Kapuda's group fought a goblin thief who had stolen something from a pack of sharks. After killing him, they learned the sharks were waiting for their stolen property, but Liu Zhi could not communicate with them.

  • A goblin crashed his motorboat into the reef while fleeing sharks, then escaped into the shadows with the thief Karishi as Liu Zhi and Kapuda's group approached.
  • Liu Zhi used the Death Long Staff's light to reveal the goblin and Karishi, and Kapuda's group attacked the goblin from four directions.
  • Liu Zhi sent the Corpse Soul Naga underwater, but the sharks surrounded them without attacking, so he called them back.
  • Kapuda's bolt struck the goblin in the face, and Dorkat cut his hamstrings, killing him.
  • Videnina suggested the goblin had stolen something from the sharks, but Liu Zhi could not speak their language, so Kapuda decided to take what they had come for and dump the rest into the sea.

Ch. 390Giant Ship

Kapuda and the others collected items from the goblin's backpack, then set out to trade the 99-year-old Bordeaux Wine for their quest item. After a long swim through rough seas, they reached a giant treasure ship, whose sailors sent a boat to rescue them.

  • Kapuda took the 99-year-old Bordeaux Wine from the goblin's backpack, while Liu Zhi let Videnina choose an item for the sharks.
  • Videnina tossed the sharks the bone they wanted, and several sharks swam away without rewarding Liu Zhi.
  • Kapuda and the others chose their own items, then swam away with Liu Zhi to trade the wine for the quest item.
  • Liu Zhi saw two sharks swimming beside the Sea Splitters and realized they appeared to be the naga's battle pets.
  • After about an hour in the rough sea, Kapuda spotted a Giant Ship and fired a flare to signal it.
  • The ship's sailors noticed the group, lowered a small boat, and came to rescue them.

Ch. 391The Magic Ship

Kapuda and Liu Zhi recovered aboard the Giant Ship and secured a chance to build their own vessel by returning the goblin engineer's stolen wine. Liu Zhi learned the plans for an Elf Sailing Ship and said he could build it, leaving the group ready to collect materials from the ship's repair bay.

  • Kapuda learned that the goblin engineer had lost a bottle of 1999 Bordeaux Wine and approached him with Liu Zhi and the others.
  • Kapuda returned the goblin's marked wine bottle and told him how he had recovered it from a goblin thief at sea.
  • The goblin offered the group plans and materials for a ship after Kapuda asked for a vessel they could manage themselves.
  • Liu Zhi recognized the plans as a mystic-side ship design, learned to build the Elf Sailing Ship, and listed the materials he needed.
  • Liu Zhi assured the goblin he could build the ship, and the goblin led them to the repair bay.

Ch. 392The Elf Sailing Ship

Liu Zhi built a miniature elf sailing ship with a Life Spring and Nature Garden, then led Kapuda and the others away from the giant ship. They survived a violent storm that left the new vessel intact, and the crew believed they had already won half the game.

  • Liu Zhi completed a miniature elf sailing ship with the key features of a transcendent-grade vessel, including a Life Spring and Nature Garden.
  • Kapuda praised Liu Zhi’s craftsmanship, and the crew boarded the ship and took their assigned positions.
  • Liu Zhi and Kapuda took charge of the sails and rudder while Dorkat stood at the bow to draw enemy attacks.
  • Liu Zhi raised the sails, sent the Corpse Soul Nagas underwater with the sharks, and steered the ship away from the giant ship.
  • The giant ship vanished into the storm, and the waves battered the elf sailing ship and its crew until Liu Zhi and Kapuda steadied the vessel.
  • After the storm passed, the crew saw that the ship was unharmed and laughed, convinced they had won half the game.

Ch. 393Sea Chart

Kapuda used a sea chart to plan a route to the Island Country and chose a giant lizard King of Venom Fangs as their first target. He proposed a detour to raise Liu Zhi’s Sailor level, and Liu Zhi agreed, estimating it would take seven days.

  • Kapuda showed Liu Zhi and the others a chart locating six known Kings of Venom Fangs and chose the physically attacking giant lizard as their first target.
  • Kapuda explained that the team had only five days before the storm eased and new Kings of Venom Fangs appeared, forcing them to start over.
  • A thief spotted the Island Country’s storm-filled mist to the southeast, and Kapuda calculated a course around it toward the giant lizard.
  • Kapuda learned that Liu Zhi was a Transcendent Level 1 Sailor and proposed a detour to build his sailing distance and raise his Sailor level.
  • Liu Zhi agreed to the detour and estimated it would take seven days, provided nothing went wrong.

Ch. 394Exchange

After reaching the fog, Liu Zhi refused Dorkat’s repeated requests to trade for Lef’s Twisted Spine until Dorkat offered the mysterious Moonlight Heart. Liu Zhi felt an overwhelming desire for the orb and agreed to exchange the weapon for it.

  • Liu Zhi arrived at the designated location after seven exhausting days of sailing and reached Transcendent Sailor Level 3.
  • Dorkat repeatedly asked Liu Zhi to trade Lef’s Twisted Spine, but Liu Zhi refused because Dorkat’s offers did not include anything he wanted.
  • As the group prepared to face the enemy beyond the fog, Dorkat offered the Moonlight Heart, a mysterious orb he had received as a hidden-quest reward nearly ten years earlier.
  • Liu Zhi picked up the orb, felt compelled to keep it, and agreed to trade Lef’s Twisted Spine for it.

Ch. 395Enemies Ahead

After trading Lef's Twisted Spine for a white orb, Liu Zhi put the unexplained item away and led the group into the mist, where they were attacked by organized packs of strange lizards. Dorkat's weapon and Liu Zhi's experimental poisons disrupted the attackers, and the group prepared to keep fighting.

  • Liu Zhi put the white orb in his backpack after failing to determine its use.
  • Liu Zhi and the others entered the mist, and Kapuda assigned Karishi to navigate by sound.
  • Karishi detected an underwater approach, so Liu Zhi sent six Corpse Soul Naga—Sea Splitters to meet the lizards.
  • Dorkat struck Lef's Twisted Spine against his skull shield, and its shriek drew the lizards away from the Sea Splitters.
  • Liu Zhi poured experimental poison into the sea, turning the water green and causing some lizards to fight each other.
  • Kapuda warned Liu Zhi not to get distracted and told everyone to prepare for battle.

Ch. 396Giant Lizard

Liu Zhi and his companions fought off smaller lizards before confronting an enormous giant lizard that attacked their ship. Their coordinated strikes wounded it, and as it tried to overturn the vessel, Liu Zhi launched an enchanted White Bone Spear at its eye.

  • Dorkat and the crew killed the smaller lizards as the Corpse Soul Naga joined the fight from underwater.
  • A towering giant lizard appeared, and Dorkat charged up its face while Kapuda and the mage attacked it.
  • Dupka pierced the giant lizard's neck with a golden bolt, and Karishi fired a cannonball into its mouth.
  • Dorkat stabbed the giant lizard's crown with Lef's Twisted Spine, forcing it to plunge into the sea.
  • The giant lizard struck back at the Corpse Soul Naga and moved beneath the ship to overturn it.
  • Liu Zhi launched an empowered White Bone Spear toward the giant lizard's eye.

Ch. 397Liu Zhi Kills the Giant Lizard

Liu Zhi and the others killed the giant lizard through a coordinated underwater assault. After Kapuda began looting its corpse, Liu Zhi asked Karishi to identify the smaller lizards' hides.

  • Liu Zhi's Bone Spear destroyed the giant lizard's eye, while Dorkat struck Kapuda's neck wound with Lef's Twisted Spine.
  • Kapuda and Liu Zhi attacked with water-piercing bolts and a poison-infused Bone Spear as the mage froze seawater inside the giant lizard's stomach.
  • Kapuda fired a heated battering-ram bolt into the giant lizard's skull, causing its head to explode and killing it.
  • Kapuda swam to loot the giant lizard while Liu Zhi's Corpse Soul Nagas hauled the smaller lizard corpses aboard.
  • Liu Zhi asked Karishi whether the smaller lizards' hides were Mutated Leather.

Ch. 398Opening Corpses (7/96)

Liu Zhi and his companions processed the lizard corpses and discovered a powerful weapon among the giant lizard’s remains. After the thief and Dorkat passed on the unformed equipment, Liu Zhi claimed it as a C+ Fine-Thorn Sword.

  • The thief skinned the marked lizards for Mutated Leather, while the mage collected magical parts and Liu Zhi kept the remaining flesh and bones.
  • The thief said they had found eight pieces of Mutated Leather but still needed more to complete their task of clearing out the mutated ones.
  • Dorkat thanked Sandru for Lef's Twisted Spine and revealed that his Strength had risen to nearly 40 after drinking from the Strength Spring.
  • Kapuda found a giant fang that appeared as different weapons to Liu Zhi, Dorkat, and the thief, and the group decided who would claim it.
  • The thief and Dorkat withdrew from the competition, so Liu Zhi took the fang, which transformed into a C+ Fine-Thorn Sword with three special traits.

Ch. 399The Plant Sea (8/96)

After defeating the giant lizard, Liu Zhi and his companions sailed northeast toward a plant-type King of Venom Fangs, navigating strange winds and weed-choked waters. They encountered animated plants near a reef and began fighting them, with Dorkat drawing their attention as the others attacked.

  • Liu Zhi received the Fine-Thorn Sword and Giant Lizard's Bloodstained Fang while Kapuda distributed the remaining loot among the party.
  • Kapuda chose an average-strength plant-type King of Venom Fangs as their next target, explaining that killing weaker kings first would let stronger ones grow more dangerous.
  • Liu Zhi sailed the ship northeast through unnatural winds and into waters dense with seaweed that trapped creatures, including enormous lizards.
  • The ship struck a reef, and the thief warned that enemies were approaching through the fog.
  • Liu Zhi's party faced flower-headed, tentacled plants; Dorkat drew their attention while the thief fired the Bow Cannon and the mage attacked with ice.

Ch. 400Estimate Gone Wrong

After defeating frozen plant monsters, Liu Zhi and his companions faced a giant seaweed wyvern that turned out to be fire-aligned. Liu Zhi created a safe passage through the burning sea for their ship, but with the mage out of mana, he and Kapuda both volunteered to fight the wyvern.

  • Liu Zhi and the others destroyed the frozen plant monsters, triggering the arrival of a huge seaweed wyvern.
  • Kapuda ordered Dorkat to draw the wyvern’s attention and asked Liu Zhi to burn its wings with a Bone Spear.
  • Liu Zhi’s fire-enchanted spear ignited the wyvern, revealing that it was fire-aligned and causing flames to engulf the sea.
  • Liu Zhi sent a carriage across the water and used Sun Trail to create a passage through the flames while Kapuda steered the ship into it.
  • The mage ran out of mana, and Liu Zhi and Kapuda both volunteered to take on the wyvern.

Ch. 401Explosion Was the Way to Go

Liu Zhi and Kapuda discovered that explosions could exploit the Wyvern’s weakness, then struck it with blasts and intensified its flames. The Wyvern tried to escape underwater, and Liu Zhi, Kapuda, and Dorkat attacked it with fire as the battle reached its climax.

  • Liu Zhi and Kapuda found that ice, fire, poison, and ordinary attacks were ineffective against the Wyvern, so Liu Zhi proposed using explosions.
  • Kapuda ordered Karishi to ready the Bow Cannon, Dorkat to hold the Wyvern’s attention, and Daklai to protect the ship.
  • Liu Zhi and Kapuda struck the Wyvern’s eyes with explosive attacks, blasting out flammable gases and making its flames burn out of control.
  • Liu Zhi and Kapuda continued attacking the Wyvern, and Liu Zhi used Sun Trail when it tried to dive into the water.
  • Dorkat charged the Wyvern with Lef’s Twisted Spine, driving magma, solar, and Wyvern flames into its body.

Ch. 402Killing

Kapuda killed the Wyvern with a Heavy Crossbow Bolt, but its explosion capsized the ship and sent the crew into the sea. After checking on the injured Dorkat, Liu Zhi and the others planned how to right and repair their vessel, while Kapuda collected items from the Wyvern's corpse.

  • Kapuda fired a Heavy Crossbow Bolt into the diving Wyvern, knocking it into the sea, where it exploded and capsized the ship.
  • Lightning struck the Wyvern's corpse five times, and Liu Zhi and the others noticed the mist had turned storm-cloud gray and crackled with electricity.
  • Kapuda checked the crew and found Dorkat badly injured, while Liu Zhi offered to right the ship or use plants to build another one.
  • Liu Zhi repaired Dorkat's broken bones and restored his life force with the Gathering Spirit Technique.
  • Dorkat suggested building a small boat to tow the overturned ship to reefs, and Liu Zhi agreed to inspect the damage and estimate needed materials.
  • Kapuda searched the Wyvern's corpse and found equipment, including a branch that still seemed to be burning.
