Ch. 643Crashing into the Summoning Tower

Liu Zhi and Edmond used Pharaoh to crash into an unguarded Summoning Tower and break it apart. As Edmond’s chains secured the largest piece, Liu Zhi took the helm and Pharaoh began another spatial jump.

  • Edmond named the ship Pharaoh and warned Liu Zhi that its power was difficult to control.
  • Edmond launched Pharaoh toward the Summoning Tower, and the ship leaped through the void to appear above the Ghost City.
  • Pharaoh charged at the bridge-like Summoning Tower while Death Knights below failed to stop it.
  • Liu Zhi struck the Death Knights with lightning as Pharaoh rammed the Summoning Tower and broke it apart.
  • Edmond sent chains to secure the largest broken section, and Liu Zhi took control of Pharaoh as it began another jump.

Ch. 644The Summoning Formation's Destruction

After a Druid’s escape damaged the Summoning Towers and disrupted the Underworld formation, Emperor Lincoln summoned the hidden men behind the system for help. One of them warned that Daniel’s disappearance was the real danger and urged Lincoln to find him.

  • The Pharaoh’s escape destroyed one Summoning Tower, damaged two more, and left several others malfunctioning as the Necromancers fled with their garrisons.
  • The Necromancer in Washington struggled to control his tower and sent a distress signal to the real world.
  • Emperor Lincoln received the report, opened a black case, and pressed its red button to summon a cowboy carrying two revolvers.
  • The cowboy explained that the Underworld formation required a Necromancer and summoned the vampire-like figure who had created it.
  • The figure learned that Daniel was missing and his manor had been dragged into the Underworld, then warned Lincoln to find Daniel before something terrible happened.

Ch. 645Foreign Players

Emperor Lincoln learned that Daniel was a hidden candidate in the White Eagle Duchy’s Artificial God Project, while Sandru was a player pursuing a Druid profession. The black-robed mage sent Kado and two others to retrieve Daniel and ordered the remaining team to deal with Sandru as Lincoln was told to focus on the Civil War.

  • Five agents from the Underworld appeared in Emperor Lincoln’s office and requested his intelligence about the Underworld.
  • The black-robed mage identified Sandru as a Thunderwing Druid and sent Kado and two others to bring Daniel back before he awakened.
  • The mage revealed that Daniel was a seed in the Artificial God Project, intended to become the Titan god of death, and warned that entering the Underworld could make his awakened bloodline difficult to extract.
  • The mage said the White Eagle Duchy knew of three artificial gods—lightning, the sun, and death—and that similar projects existed elsewhere.
  • The mage explained that Sandru had built his own ship to pursue a Druid profession and was a player, then ordered the team to deal with him while Lincoln concentrated on the North-South Civil War.

Ch. 646The Nether Sea Journey

Liu Zhi dismantled the Summoning Tower fragment dragging behind the Pharaoh to recover its hidden component while undead gathered around it in the Nether Sea. He found a blue, heart-shaped object and returned to the ship as dawn approached, preparing to put it away alongside the chest from the deserted island.

  • Liu Zhi noticed undead pursuing the Pharaoh and a Necromancer watching from the sky, then dived into the Nether Sea to deal with the Summoning Tower fragment.
  • Liu Zhi examined the fragment, recorded its Magic Runes, and smashed it apart when he could not find its key component.
  • Liu Zhi attracted the attention of nearby undead as soul energy streamed from the broken tower, while Edmond warned him that dawn would soon slow the ship.
  • Liu Zhi blasted apart the remaining fragments with black lightning and caught a blue, heart-shaped object.
  • Liu Zhi returned to the Pharaoh, and Edmond asked whether he could handle Ship Handling before dawn; Liu Zhi set down his backpack and took out the chest from the deserted island.

Ch. 647Pursuit (5/90)

Liu Zhi escaped the pursuing undead by abandoning the Summoning Tower and making a void jump in the Pharaoh. Wayne and a black-robed mage followed the trail, but Wayne realized Sandru’s ship could jump without the limits that constrained theirs.

  • Liu Zhi stored the heart in a cramped chest, extinguished the Pharaoh’s flames, and saw the undead swarm toward the ship.
  • Liu Zhi ordered Edmond to dump the broken Summoning Tower, drawing the undead away, then calculated a destination and made a void jump.
  • Wayne and a black-robed mage arrived at the turbulent sea, where the mage identified the Summoning Tower’s remains and ordered pursuit.
  • The black-robed mage explained that undead fish could track their enemies, but Wayne warned that Sandru’s ship could also make void jumps.
  • Wayne concluded that Sandru’s underworld-built ship could jump indefinitely, unlike their ship, which had only three jumps left before needing repairs.

Ch. 648The Pursuing Enemy (6/90)

Edmond and Liu Zhi were pursued across the Sea of the Underworld by the Cyclops Washington, so Liu Zhi demonstrated the Pharaoh’s weapon systems. The attack poisoned the pursuing ship, but its mages survived and vowed to retaliate.

  • Liu Zhi sensed the Cyclops Washington had caught up with the Pharaoh after a void jump.
  • Liu Zhi asked Edmond to control the ship while he prepared to attack with a catapult he had modified using his skills.
  • Liu Zhi launched a fireball with automatic targeting, and the black-robed mage destroyed it with a Bone Spear.
  • The fireball released poisonous green mist over the Cyclops Washington, prompting the white-robed mage to shield Wayne and the black-robed mage to promise retaliation.

Ch. 649The Sea Battle

Liu Zhi realized that two players, including a Necromancer, were aboard the Cyclops Washington and attacked the ship with penetrating stone shots. After the ship’s mages pressured Wayne into raising its energy-draining shield, Liu Zhi and Edmond escaped with the Pharaoh through a void jump.

  • Liu Zhi recognized that the Cyclops Washington carried two players, one of them a Necromancer, and discussed the White Eagle Duchy’s plans with Edmond.
  • Liu Zhi fired a penetrating Stone Bullet that punched through the Cyclops Washington’s deck, while Wayne ordered repairs and refused to raise the shield.
  • A second stone struck the black-robed and white-robed mages, who demanded that Wayne raise the shield to protect them.
  • Wayne reluctantly activated the ship’s shield, using up much of its remaining energy.
  • Liu Zhi told Edmond to prepare a void jump, and Edmond pulled the Pharaoh into the void.

Ch. 650Three Ships Collide

Three ships collided in the Nether Sea, forcing Liu Zhi and the others into battle. As Liu Zhi faced two hostile mages, a Weakness Curse weakened him, and he turned his attention toward the confused Fishmen.

  • Liu Zhi tried to drive the Pharaoh away with a Strong Wind, but it collided with the Cyclops Washington and a wreck-like ship full of Fishmen.
  • Edmond charged Wayne aboard the Cyclops Washington, while Liu Zhi left them to fight and went after the two mages.
  • The black-robed mage and white-robed mage raised defensive barriers, and the black-robed mage struck Liu Zhi with a Weakness Curse that reduced his strength by 30 percent.
  • Liu Zhi noticed the confused Fishmen and smiled at one who glared back at him.

Ch. 651Mage Battle (7/90)

Liu Zhi outmaneuvered the black-robed mage by turning the fishmen against him and targeting the white-robed mage who was healing him. The white-robed mage was left gravely wounded, and Liu Zhi struck his throat with a Wind Blade.

  • Liu Zhi blinded the black-robed mage and nearby fishmen with Flash Explosion, then used Reverse Storm to turn the black-robed mage’s Bone-Chilling Cold against the fishmen.
  • The black-robed mage cast Death Ripple, but the fishmen were unaffected and began treating him as an enemy.
  • Liu Zhi flew out of the black-robed mage’s reach and shattered his shield with Death Lightning, while the white-robed mage restored the black-robed mage’s defenses.
  • The black-robed mage poisoned the advancing fishmen, but they continued to surge toward him as both mages focused on Liu Zhi.
  • Liu Zhi struck the white-robed mage with Bone Spear and followed with Death Lightning, shattering his shields before a Wind Blade cut across his throat.

Ch. 652Various Curses

Liu Zhi killed the white-robed mage and fought the black-robed mage, who used curses to ground him and sever his connection to nature. The black-robed mage's attack pierced Liu Zhi and began trapping him with grasping arms.

  • Liu Zhi killed the white-robed mage with a hidden Wind Blade and Starfall.
  • Liu Zhi attacked the black-robed mage, who cast an Anti-Air Curse that stopped Liu Zhi from flying.
  • Liu Zhi used Strong Wind to reach the black-robed mage and struck with Flash Explosion and a fireball.
  • The black-robed mage cursed Liu Zhi again, preventing him from casting natural-school spells as the conflicting curses affected both mages.
  • The black-robed mage shot Liu Zhi with a fast Bone Spear-like projectile, which pierced him and summoned arms that grabbed at him.

Ch. 653Cutting Through Fishmen in a Rampage

Liu Zhi killed the black-robed mage and cut through the fishmen before a monstrous octopus-headed captain emerged from their ship. The captain charged him, and Liu Zhi met the attack with a thrust empowered by Death Lightning.

  • The black-robed mage cast Banshee's Embrace, but Liu Zhi summoned a Bone Spear and killed him with a piercing, explosive strike that set his body on fire.
  • With the curse and spell gone, Liu Zhi charged the fishmen and cut through their ranks using his shield and Giant Lizard's Bloodstained Fang.
  • A shark-headed fishman ordered his crew to release something from the ship, but an explosion threw several fishmen from the deck.
  • An octopus-headed captain with a tentacle arm, a crab claw, and chains around his legs emerged and attacked his own men before identifying Liu Zhi as a druid.
  • The captain charged at Liu Zhi, who lunged forward and thrust his weapon at the captain's face with a black orb of Death Lightning forming at its tip.

Ch. 654Fine-Thorn Sword Upgrade

Liu Zhi killed the Fishman with Death Lightning and magma, then fused Giant Lizard's Bloodstained Fang with the Token of Zeus to create the upgraded Thunder God's Destroyer Fang. He used the new sword to cut down the remaining Fishmen, gained fresh insight into swordsmanship, and thrust toward Cyclops Washington.

  • Liu Zhi pierced the Fishman's pincer with Giant Lizard's Bloodstained Fang, sending Death Lightning through his body.
  • Liu Zhi covered the Fishman in magma and drove Death Lightning through the Fang, then fused it with the Token of Zeus.
  • The fusion upgraded the weapon to Thunder God's Destroyer Fang, a B+ Fine-Thorn Sword, and consumed the Token of Zeus.
  • Liu Zhi attacked the shocked Fishmen with his new sword, striking their eyes and heads as he moved through them.
  • Liu Zhi felt his swordsmanship breaking through a bottleneck and, after killing the last few Fishmen, thrust toward Cyclops Washington.

Ch. 655Looting Corpses (9/10)

Liu Zhi stopped himself from forcing Eternal Stillness, then helped Edmond defeat Wayne and searched the fallen fishmen and mages for loot. He acquired a Universal Key, necromantic skill scrolls, and a Holy Water recipe, while collecting both mages’ corpses for possible undead units.

  • Liu Zhi withdrew his sword after realizing Eternal Stillness could harm him unless his Constitution and Spirit reached 20.
  • Edmond killed Wayne after Liu Zhi’s sword strike interrupted Wayne’s attempt to activate the Cyclops Washington.
  • Liu Zhi found a Universal Key and an Alice music box on the octopus-headed fishman, while Edmond took an interest in the firearms.
  • Liu Zhi pulled three necromantic skill scrolls from the black-robed mage’s robe and put the mage’s corpse in his backpack.
  • Liu Zhi found a Numbered Holy Water recipe on the white-robed mage and collected that mage’s corpse as well.

Ch. 656Sailor's Graveyard (10/90)

Liu Zhi and Edmond dismantled the Cyclops Washington and the Fishman's ship, but freeing the corpses from the latter summoned mysterious boats that led them toward the Sailor's Graveyard. Meanwhile, Daniel abandoned his manor and the three players he was fighting after sensing something in the Nether Sea.

  • Liu Zhi and Edmond salvaged the Cyclops Washington to repair and reinforce the Pharaoh, then dismantled the Fishman's ship as well.
  • Liu Zhi used Summoning on the Fishman's ship, and small boats carrying corpses and candles began sailing in the same direction.
  • Edmond sensed an attraction from the souls, and he and Liu Zhi followed the boats toward the Sailor's Graveyard.
  • Daniel fought three players at his manor and prepared to use his plague to defeat them.
  • Daniel sensed something in the Nether Sea, abandoned the battle and his manor, and took a step away.

Ch. 657Mysterious Space

As the Underworld turned red and disasters struck the White Eagle Duchy, Liu Zhi and Edmond chose to press deeper into the Underworld Sea. They entered a strange blue-sky realm and approached an island that Liu Zhi recognized as a gigantic corpse, where something unexpected happened as Edmond tried to come ashore.

  • Emperor Lincoln learned that the Cyclops Washington and Captain Wayne had gone missing, ocean waves had cut off contact with Europa, and the Washington Monument was about to fall.
  • Liu Zhi and Edmond sensed that something was wrong in the Underworld and agreed to risk continuing, steering the Pharaoh deeper into the sea.
  • The pair followed the drifting boats carrying dead sailors and submerged the Pharaoh, emerging into a strange realm with blue skies and calm seas.
  • Liu Zhi used the Sky Eye and flew above a small island, identifying it as a gigantic corpse shaped like a curled-up woman.
  • Edmond swam to the island and was about to climb ashore when something unexpected happened.

Ch. 658Sleeping Gods

Liu Zhi and Edmond identified the island as the sleeping place of Demeter, Goddess of Harvest, and concluded that the space was preserving her dwindling divine nature. As they wondered who had brought her there and what had lured them to the island, a strange woman appeared with answers.

  • Edmond recognized the island as the body of Demeter, Goddess of Harvest, after spotting clues among its laurel trees, crops, and stone formations.
  • Liu Zhi blocked the island’s green lightning and used his divine nature to determine that Demeter was asleep and being sustained by the space.
  • Edmond and Liu Zhi reasoned that multiple gods, possibly including the king of the gods, the Lord of the Underworld, and the Sea God, had helped hide Demeter in the Underworld.
  • Edmond questioned what light had lured them to the island, and a painted Black woman appeared on the water and offered to answer.

Ch. 659The Sea Witch

Liu Zhi and Edmond fought Calypso, the sea witch who had seized control of the strange space and absorbed its divine power. As Calypso battled Liu Zhi in midair, his many attacks began to shake her confidence.

  • Edmond identified the Black woman as Calypso, and Liu Zhi challenged her claim to godhood and revealed his connection to Apollo.
  • Liu Zhi explained that Calypso had taken over the space and absorbed its divine power indiscriminately, leaving her half-mad.
  • Calypso charged Liu Zhi and summoned stone crabs and giant waves, while Liu Zhi attacked her with wind and Death Lightning.
  • Edmond transformed the Pharaoh into a Fire Ship and used its catapults and firearm to fight Calypso's crabs and support Liu Zhi.
  • Liu Zhi unleashed Death Lightning, Bone Spear, and Thunder God's Destroyer Fang against Calypso, who realized he also possessed divinity and began to lose confidence.

Ch. 660Invincible Divine Body

Liu Zhi fought Calypso and suspected her true body was hidden on the island, while Edmond held her back. Liu Zhi found the hidden object in a spring and surfaced with a stone as system chimes sounded.

  • Liu Zhi attacked Calypso with Thunder God's Destroyer Fang and Bone Spear, but her body regenerated from living stone crabs.
  • The Pharaoh struck Calypso with a Giant Wave, allowing Edmond to bind her with his chain and attack with the Fine-Thorn Sword.
  • Liu Zhi suspected Calypso's true body was hidden on the island and used rain and harvest divinities to spot an unusual spring near the island's eyes.
  • Calypso struck Edmond with lightning, but he resisted and stabbed her in the brow, disrupting her control.
  • Liu Zhi saw the spring change, leaped into it, and returned holding a head-sized stone as system chimes rang.

Ch. 661Killing (13/90)

Liu Zhi destroyed the heart that sustained Calypso, ending her attack and revealing how Dia Dalma had stolen power from Demeter, Goddess of Harvest. With Calypso defeated, Liu Zhi stood amid the aftermath as visions showed the history of the space and its stolen power.

  • Liu Zhi escaped the water with a stone crab as the island unfolded and raised a green lightning barrier around itself.
  • Liu Zhi melted the crab's stone shell with magma, exposed its heart, and split the heart with a Wind Blade despite Calypso's scream.
  • Calypso turned gray and petrified before breaking into stone crabs that fell into the sea.
  • Liu Zhi saw visions revealing that Dia Dalma had survived a sacrificial ritual by fusing her heart with a crab and building a stone crab colony.
  • Dia followed two strangers into the space, where they defeated Demeter, Goddess of Harvest, and took a gemstone from her chest.
  • Dia hid inside Demeter's eye, drained her life force, and eventually became Calypso, believing she had ascended to godhood.

Ch. 662The Blessing of the Goddess of Harvest

After learning Calypso’s history, Liu Zhi reviewed the rewards he had received from Demeter and let Edmond pursue power on the island. Liu Zhi searched the sea for Calypso’s scattered remains and spotted three unusual stones.

  • Liu Zhi learned that Calypso had once been nearly killed by a group of players and had stayed in her protected space ever since.
  • Liu Zhi read his notifications and gained increased Strength and Constitution, Demeter’s harvest blessing, a chance to speak with the true Demeter, and the Blood of Harvest skill.
  • Edmond brought the Pharaoh to Liu Zhi and said he wanted power to take revenge.
  • Liu Zhi moved aside, allowing Edmond to travel toward Demeter’s island in search of power.
  • Liu Zhi dived into the sea to search Calypso’s scattered stone-crab remains and found three unusual stones.
