Background / History

Tang San monitored Douluo Continent from the God Realm and became alarmed when the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well was disturbed. Concerned in particular for Tang Wutong, he chose to investigate the anomaly personally through a divine thought clone. 62 63

At the well, Tang San identified Jiang Li as a future threat and ordered him to leave Douluo Continent. When Jiang Li refused, Tang San attempted to expel him and his companions by force. His clone transported the confrontation away from the well and fought Lei Yao and Ling Yun with the Poseidon's Trident and the Golden Thirteen Halberds. 63 64

Ling Yun's Chains of Symbiosis severely damaged the clone, allowing Lei Yao and Ling Yun to counterattack. Tang San escalated to further Golden Thirteen Halberd forms, but their merged Martial Souls and Lei Yao's Divine Punishment: Myriad Tribulation Lightning Hell ultimately destroyed the clone. 65 66

Determined to eliminate Jiang Li, Ling Yun, and Lei Yao, Tang San subsequently launched a God King-powered Golden Trident attack toward Douluo Continent. Jiang Li answered with a willow leaf left by the Willow God. The leaf destroyed both Tang San's Golden Trident and Asura Demon Sword, inflicting devastating backlash upon Tang San and Xiao Wu. 67 69

Tang San later awakened with damaged source power and scattered divine power. The God Realm Council held him responsible for opening a spatial channel and interfering in Douluo Continent, removing him as God Realm Enforcer, assigning him to repair spatial rifts, and restricting him from leaving the God Realm without the four God Kings' permission. The Destruction God King also severed his connection to Douluo Continent. 104 144

Despite these restrictions, Tang San continued investigating threats linked to the Starry Sky Auction House, including unstable Faith Power, the Human Clan Altar's contamination of the Plane Origin, and the resurgence of powerful soul beasts. 263 264 306 307 308 351

Personality

Tang San is intensely protective of Douluo Continent and those close to him. His concern for Tang Wutong, Xiao Wu, Ah Yin, and the continent's Plane Origin repeatedly drives him to intervene even when doing so risks punishment or worsens his injuries. 62 67 264 307 354

He can be forceful and uncompromising toward perceived threats. He labels Jiang Li and his allies as Anomalies, attempts to drive them from Douluo Continent, and later seeks revenge against the Starry Sky Auction House for the injuries it caused him. 63 64 210

Tang San also demonstrates caution and analytical judgment in battle and investigation. He recognizes the danger posed by the Human Clan Altar, investigates its connection to the Starry Sky Auction House, and probes the Blood Demon's sealed space rather than acting blindly. 308 353 354

Following Tang Hao's death, grief overwhelms his restraint. His rage awakens the destructive will of the Asura God, causing him to abandon rationality and attack indiscriminately. 465 466
