Ch. 1361Don't Beg for Mercy

Key plot points and events

  • The Ghost Child Clan Ancestor uses a compass to identify the suspected culprit behind the slaughter of his clan and races to the Floating Island.
  • He abandons his usual frail disguise, revealing his youthful, powerful form and confronting someone he believes is Xuantian Tower elder Chen Changqing.
  • Though enraged, the Ancestor restrains himself because Xuantian Tower is immensely powerful and Chen may have influential backing.
  • Luo Yi, who is impersonating Chen, asks whether the visitor is the Ghost Child Clan Ancestor. The question exposes the disguise: the Ancestor realizes Luo Yi is not the real Chen.
  • The Ancestor vows to avenge his clan, threatens to cripple Luo Yi, and promises to make him suffer as his clansmen did.
  • Luo Yi remains unmoved, viewing the Ancestor as a source of Energy Points and expecting to defeat him.

Character developments and interactions

  • Ghost Child Clan Ancestor: His grief and fury overwhelm his caution once he realizes he has found the killer. He shifts from a calculated, deferential approach to open vengeance.
  • Luo Yi: Calm and dismissive in the face of threats, he sees the confrontation as an opportunity rather than a danger.
  • Their interaction: The Ancestor initially mistakes Luo Yi for Chen Changqing and tries to learn Xuantian Tower’s motives. Luo Yi’s blunt question reveals the deception, turning the exchange into a direct confrontation.

Significant themes

  • Grief and revenge: The Ancestor’s desire to avenge his clan drives his escalating anger.
  • Power and restraint: Even a formidable Tribulation-Transcending cultivator hesitates to challenge a major faction without proof.
  • Threats versus confidence: The Ancestor relies on intimidation, while Luo Yi’s composure suggests he believes strength—not words—will decide the outcome.

Ch. 1362Trouble Comes Knocking

Plot points and events

  • Luo Yi is confident that, after surviving two Heavenly Tribulations, he can defeat the Ghost Child Clan Ancestor. The Ancestor’s small territory and Luo Yi’s newfound strength reinforce that confidence.
  • The Ancestor threatens to cripple Luo Yi and take him back to the clan grounds. He uses his demonic art to squeeze the Floating Island, but Luo Yi remains unmoved.
  • Luo Yi lets the Ancestor’s attack reveal his strength, then judges him roughly equal to a two-tribulation pseudo-immortal.
  • Luo Yi suddenly closes the distance and strikes the Ancestor in the chest with overwhelming physical power. The Ancestor is blasted through the Floating Island, left with a large hole through his chest.
  • Stunned by the gap between them, the Ancestor realizes Luo Yi could likely have killed him outright. He suspects the clan’s younger Ghost Child may have provoked someone far beyond the clan’s ability to handle.

Character developments and interactions

  • Luo Yi is calm, confident, and deliberately provocative. Rather than immediately using all his power, he observes the Ancestor’s attack to assess him, then ends the exchange decisively. He is also curious about how many Energy Points the Ancestor might yield.
  • The Ghost Child Clan Ancestor shifts from smug threats to anger, then to shock and uncertainty after being badly wounded. He begins to question whether his clan’s behavior—especially the younger Ghost Child’s—has brought disaster upon them.
  • Their interaction is a stark reversal: the Ancestor initially treats Luo Yi as a helpless captive, but Luo Yi’s single strike reveals that the Ancestor is badly outmatched.

Significant themes

  • Arrogance versus actual power: The Ancestor’s threats collapse when confronted with Luo Yi’s strength.
  • Misjudgment and consequences: The Ancestor’s suspicion that the clan’s younger member acted carelessly suggests that relying on protection can encourage reckless provocation.
  • Power revealed through action: Luo Yi measures the Ancestor’s abilities before committing, while the Ancestor learns the true scale of the gap only after being struck.

Ch. 1363Sorrow and Fury Intertwined

Plot and events

  • Luo Yi confronts the Ghost Child Clan Ancestor, who makes a desperate final attack. Luo Yi’s seemingly ordinary punch overwhelms the demon’s strike and kills him, destroying the Ghost Child Clan with him.
  • The system rewards Luo Yi with 80 million Energy Points, bringing his total to 296 million. He needs 400 million to perfect the Stellar Body Forging Art.
  • Luo Yi considers attacking the Nirvana Crimson Phoenix Clan for more points, but decides against it. Doing so could disrupt the First Princess of the North Sea Dragon Palace’s ambitions, endanger the Nine Sons of the Endless Sea, and draw the Four Seas Dragon Palaces’ attention.
  • Instead, he visits the Ghost Child Clan’s Dao-Merging Grounds, hoping to bring them back to the Southern Endless Sea. He learns they cannot be transported without provoking the powerful factions of the Northern Endless Sea.
  • Luo Yi conceals the grounds with additional arrays, intending to tell the Nine Sons’ Eight Sect Masters about them so they can decide how to use them.

Character developments and interactions

  • Luo Yi displays overwhelming strength, but also growing strategic restraint: he weighs the political consequences of gaining power before acting.
  • The Ghost Child Clan Ancestor, despite his fear, chooses to fight rather than face Luo Yi’s attack passively; he is killed instantly.
  • Luo Yi’s past warning from the North Sea Dragon Palace’s First Princess shapes his decision not to attack the Nirvana Crimson Phoenix Clan. He also shows gratitude toward the Nine Sons of the Endless Sea by preserving and reporting the Dao-Merging Grounds.

Significant themes

  • Power and restraint: Luo Yi could pursue more Energy Points through violence, but chooses not to risk a larger conflict.
  • Political interdependence: A local action could involve multiple seas and factions, with consequences extending far beyond its immediate target.
  • Reciprocity and responsibility: Luo Yi repays the Nine Sons’ kindness while respecting the boundaries governing the Northern Endless Sea’s resources.

Ch. 1364Reunion

Key plot points

  • Profound Origin Ancient City, normally an overlooked ruin, has become crowded with powerful visitors after a clash near a Nameless Floating Island. The disturbance was likely caused by the Ghost Child Clan’s Heavenly Demon ancestor and another Tribulation-Crossing Pseudo-Immortal powerhouse, but the fight was brief and its broader consequences remain uncertain.
  • Grandmaster Bai and three young disciples of major sects are staying at an inn while seeking help for the Nine Sons of the Endless Sea. Their requests to the Northern Endless Sea’s powers have been politely rejected.
  • The Heavenly Maiden Sect Dao Seed condemns those powers for turning against one another instead of uniting against the Southern and Northern Sea Dragon Palaces. He argues that the Nine Sons may eventually have to defend themselves alone—and that their rivals may later regret refusing cooperation.
  • The Nine Sons are formidable: eight of their sect masters are Tribulation-Crossing Pseudo-Immortals, and they may be able to call on powerful allies. But summoning those allies could mean abandoning Tianyan Sect’s Dao-Merging Grounds while the Demon Realm Army invades the Tiannan Continent.
  • The chapter ends by questioning how the North Sea Dragon Palace’s army, led by Ao Family Eldest, will affect the larger conflict.

Character developments and interactions

  • Grandmaster Bai remains quiet and contemplative, listening as her disciples report on the recent clash and the failed effort to secure aid.
  • The Heavenly Treasure Sect Disciple gives a measured assessment: because the two powerhouses withdrew after only a brief exchange, the incident may have limited impact.
  • The Heavenly Maiden Sect Dao Seed grows visibly angry, then turns to scornful confidence. He believes the Nine Sons could withstand the Dragon Palaces if forced to act alone, though doing so would threaten their long-term resources and strategic position.
  • The exchange reveals tension between the disciples’ cautious analysis and the Dao Seed’s frustration at the Northern powers’ disunity.

Significant themes

  • Unity versus self-interest: Human powers refuse to cooperate against a shared enemy, preferring local advantage and rivalry.
  • The cost of defense: Withdrawing and consolidating could protect the Nine Sons, but would sacrifice territory, resources, and cultivation prospects.
  • Uncertain balance of power: The Dragon Palaces are dangerous, yet the Nine Sons and their potential allies could match them—if they are willing to pay the price and commit.
  • Escalating instability: The unexplained clash and multiple military movements suggest that the region’s apparent calm may be deceptive.

Ch. 1365Watching from the Shadows

Key plot points and events

  • Sect Master Bai Suxin weighs the threat posed by the North Sea Dragon Palace. She believes the Nine Sons of the Endless Sea must respond decisively to any provocation, rather than show fear and invite further attacks.
  • She leaves the inn to speak with an old acquaintance at the East Sea Dragon Palace and learn whether it supports the Ao family’s invasion of the Southern Endless Sea.
  • Before she can depart, she notices Sect Master Luo Yi arriving alone at Profound Origin Ancient City, unexpectedly separated from the other Dao Seeds.
  • Luo Yi has come to assess how nearby human and demon forces reacted to his recent battle with the Ghost Child Clan Ancestor, and whether the North Sea Dragon Palace has sent investigators. He senses someone watching him but detects no malice.

Character developments

  • Bai Suxin shows confidence in her own strength and resolve, while remaining alert to the political danger facing her sect. She is also impressed by Luo Yi’s rapid progress: in only a few months, he has advanced from Great Vehicle Minor Accomplishment to the Great Vehicle Limit.
  • Luo Yi is exhausted after surviving two Heavenly Tribulations and defeating the Ghost Child Clan Ancestor, yet remains observant and curious. His mastery of the Tianyan Heart Sutra has given him a new sensitivity to karmic danger.

Significant themes

  • Deterrence and resolve: Bai believes a forceful response is necessary to prevent enemies from repeatedly testing the Nine Sons.
  • Power and potential: Luo Yi’s extraordinary advancement suggests he may soon become a Tribulation-Crossing Pseudo-Immortal and eventually reach even greater heights.
  • Loyalty and hope amid crisis: Bai hopes the Nine Sons will survive the conflict—and that she may live to see Luo Yi’s future and avenge Senior Brother Tiansuanzi.

Character interactions

  • Bai reassures the three Dao Seeds that she can handle the Dragon Palace visit, while warning them to stay cautious in her absence.
  • The three Dao Seeds’ anger fades into silence when she announces her plan.
  • Bai and Luo Yi do not meet directly, but each senses the other’s presence: she watches him from concealment, while he notices an observer without identifying them.

Ch. 1366Don't Get the Wrong Idea!

Key plot points and events

  • Luo Yi intervenes in a dispute over a Jade Slip, taking it and leaving a Storage Artifact in exchange. Its crimson bloodstains and his Great Vehicle Limit aura frighten the two men into accepting the trade without protest.
  • While walking through Profound Origin Ancient City, Luo Yi learns that the Northern Endless Sea’s powers believe the recent battle was merely a sparring match between an unidentified Tribulation-Crossing Pseudo-Immortal and an old friend. No one has discovered that he destroyed the Ghost Child Clan.
  • With his cultivation near its current limit, Luo Yi decides to return to the Mountain-Shaking Immortal Sect and attempt to climb the Sacred Mountain again. He also feels responsible for the four Dao Seeds of the Nine Sons of the Endless Sea under his protection.
  • Meanwhile, Sect Master Meng Tingchuan anxiously waits for Luo Yi, who has failed to return within the seven days Meng predicted. Cao Yuxiu keeps coming to ask about him, frustrating Meng. When Cao approaches again, Meng tries to send him to question the visiting Dao Seeds instead.

Character developments and interactions

  • Luo Yi remains calm and decisive, gathering the information he needs before leaving the city. His concern for the protected Dao Seeds shows a sense of responsibility beyond his own cultivation goals.
  • Meng Tingchuan is unusually unsettled by Luo Yi’s absence. Though he claims not to care whether Luo Yi returns, his anxiety—and irritation at Cao Yuxiu’s repeated questions—suggests otherwise.
  • Cao Yuxiu is deeply worried about Luo Yi and repeatedly seeks news from Meng, prompting the Sect Master’s exasperation.

Significant themes

  • Secrecy and mistaken beliefs: The wider world misreads the battle and remains unaware of the Ghost Child Clan’s destruction.
  • Responsibility and loyalty: Luo Yi’s decision to return is partly motivated by his obligation to protect the Dao Seeds.
  • Anxiety beneath composure: Meng’s restless behavior contrasts with his dismissive words, hinting at the concern he refuses to admit.

Ch. 1367Yue Shiqun came calling

Cao Yuxiu told Meng Tingchuan that Yue Shiqun of Xuantian Tower had arrived at the Mountain-Shaking Immortal Sect demanding to see someone, raising fears that he had come over the Pearl-Curtain Blessed Land incident involving Luo. Meng Tingchuan urged Cao Yuxiu to receive Yue with dignity while refusing to intervene himself.

  • Cao Yuxiu assured Meng Tingchuan that he had not come to ask about Luo, then reported that Yue Shiqun had reached the sect’s gates and demanded entry.
  • Cao Yuxiu explained that Yue was the Gentleman's Sword from Xuantian Tower and had encountered Luo in the Pearl-Curtain Blessed Land without learning Luo’s identity.
  • Meng Tingchuan approved Cao Yuxiu’s handling of the earlier incident and recalled that he had ordered the elders not to discuss Luo.
  • Cao Yuxiu worried that Yue had come to call the sect to account, but Meng Tingchuan said he would not step forward and told Cao to receive Yue or send him away.
  • Meng Tingchuan reassured Cao Yuxiu that the sect’s elders could handle any trouble and ordered him to uphold the dignity of the Mountain-Shaking Immortal Sect.

Ch. 1368There Was No Escaping Disaster

Cao Yuxiu reflected on his cautious nature before Yue Shiqun of Xuantian Tower arrived at the Mountain-Shaking Immortal Sect and demanded that he come out to greet him. With Yue Shiqun’s identity and power making open confrontation risky, Qi Zhentian stepped forward to handle the hostile visit in Cao Yuxiu’s place.

  • Cao Yuxiu compared his cautious temperament with the sharpness of Liu Yiyi and the young friend Luo, then left the sect’s mountain gate.
  • Yue Shiqun revealed himself in a powerful Landscape Scroll and announced his visit, demanding that Cao Yuxiu welcome him personally.
  • The Mountain-Shaking Immortal Sect’s Inner Sect Elders objected to Yue Shiqun’s arrogant demand and considered the danger of provoking Xuantian Tower.
  • Qi Zhentian rebuked the elders for arguing and prepared to step forward in Cao Yuxiu’s place.

Ch. 1369Adding Fire to Dry Kindling

Qi Zhentian and Cao Yuxiu prepared to meet Yue Shiqun, Xuantian Tower’s Personal Disciple, while trying to prevent conflict between him and the Nine Sons of the Endless Sea. Just as the Nine Sons prepared to leave, Cao Yuxiu sensed Luo’s arrival and realized the two hostile visitors might meet.

  • Qi Zhentian ordered an elder to escort Liu Yiyi and the other Nine Sons of the Endless Sea away from the Mountain-Shaking Immortal Sect’s Mountain Gate.
  • Cao Yuxiu refused to hide from Yue Shiqun and urged the elders to disperse so they would not give him an excuse to cause trouble.
  • Liu Yiyi led the other three Dao Seeds toward a Teleportation Formation, choosing to avoid burdening the Mountain-Shaking Immortal Sect.
  • Cao Yuxiu suddenly stopped when he sensed Luo’s familiar aura and wondered whether Luo’s arrival would bring him face-to-face with Yue Shiqun.

Ch. 1370Forging ties early

Cao Yuxiu refused to delay Luo Yi’s promised visit to the Mountain-Shaking Immortal Sect, despite Yue Shiqun’s presence at the sect’s gate, and arranged for Qi Zhentian to guide him through a secluded route. Qi Zhentian met Luo Yi and personally offered to act in Cao Yuxiu’s stead, while Luo Yi waited for the mountain visit to begin.

  • Qi Zhentian realized Luo Yi and Yue Shiqun might meet and suggested sending Luo Yi away until Yue Shiqun had left.
  • Cao Yuxiu rejected the delay, reasoning that Luo Yi might not return if the sect put him off again, and ordered Qi Zhentian to bring him to the mountain through a rear teleportation formation.
  • Luo Yi waited near the sect’s Mountain Gate, considered leaving to inform the eight sect masters about a newly vacated Dao-Merging Grounds, and then saw Qi Zhentian approach.
  • Qi Zhentian apologized that Cao Yuxiu could not welcome Luo Yi and offered to guide him in the Dao Seed’s place.

Ch. 1371A second Mountain-Gazing

Luo Yi returned to the Mountain-Shaking Immortal Sect to investigate the Sacred Mountain, but discovered that it could gradually strengthen his divine soul. He set aside his hurry to uncover its secret and continued Mountain-Gazing while Qi Zhentian guarded him.

  • Qi Zhentian led Luo Yi through a concealed teleportation formation into the Mountain-Shaking Immortal Sect’s Mountain Gate.
  • Luo Yi agreed to avoid the man threatening the sect and went to the Sacred Mountain to merge his divine soul with it.
  • Qi Zhentian dismissed the cultivators guarding the mountain and stood watch while Luo Yi Mountain-Gazed.
  • Luo Yi felt refreshed rather than exhausted and sensed the Sacred Mountain slowly strengthening his divine soul.
  • Luo Yi decided to keep strengthening his divine soul before resuming his search for the Sacred Mountain’s secret.

Ch. 1372Man-Made Dao-Merging Grounds?

Luo Yi experienced an unexpected benefit while gazing upon the Sacred Mountain, leaving Qi Zhentian determined to question him when he awoke. Meanwhile, Yue Shiqun confronted the Mountain-Shaking Immortal Sect and revealed that Xuantian Tower could create artificial Dao-Merging Grounds; he then noticed something amiss in the hall.

  • Luo Yi gazed upon the Sacred Mountain with an expression of profound enjoyment, and Qi Zhentian watched in puzzlement.
  • Yue Shiqun took the seat of honor in the reception hall and accused the Mountain-Shaking Immortal Sect of failing to support him in the Pearl-Curtain Blessed Land.
  • Cao Yuxiu questioned Yue Shiqun's accusations and reminded him that the sect had captured powerful demon prodigies for Xuantian Tower without receiving the promised payment.
  • Yue Shiqun explained that Xuantian Tower's master had perfected the Heaven-Opening Art and was using it to create Dao-Merging Grounds and strengthen the sect.
  • The elders reacted with shock and envy to Yue Shiqun's revelation, and Yue Shiqun noticed something amiss in the hall.

Ch. 1373Even a Clay Figure Has a Temper

Yue Shiqun tried to pressure Cao Yuxiu into helping his master’s half-brother find a cultivation path, while hinting that Xuantian Tower’s artificial Dao-Merging Grounds might have a hidden flaw. He accused the Mountain-Shaking Immortal Sect of sheltering the culprit responsible for the Nirvana Crimson Phoenix’s death, and Cao Yuxiu demanded evidence.

  • Cao Yuxiu suspected Xuantian Tower’s claim that it could create Dao-Merging Grounds, but Yue Shiqun changed the subject before he could press him.
  • Yue Shiqun asked Cao Yuxiu to find a suitable cultivation method for his master’s half-demon younger brother, then explained that Xuantian Tower’s leadership required cultivating the Heaven-Opening Art.
  • Yue Shiqun said an Aptitude Testing Stele had revealed a different, risky cultivation path for his master’s younger brother, whose progress could have benefited from the Nirvana Crimson Phoenix.
  • Yue Shiqun blamed the Mountain-Shaking Immortal Sect for aiding a tyrant and sheltering the culprit behind the Nirvana Crimson Phoenix’s death.
  • Cao Yuxiu rose and demanded that Yue Shiqun retract the accusation unless he could provide sufficient evidence.

Ch. 1374Yue Shiqun's Interrogation

Yue Shiqun interrogated the Mountain-Shaking Immortal Sect’s elders about the Pearl-Curtain Blessed Land, seeking the cultivator who had attacked his divided soul. After every elder gave the same answer, he pointed out that the sect’s Inner Sect Grand Elder had not appeared.

  • Yue Shiqun demanded that Cao Yuxiu summon everyone who had gone to the Pearl-Curtain Blessed Land for questioning.
  • Cao Yuxiu and the inner sect elders resolved to protect Luo Yi and kept silent about the events in the blessed land.
  • Yue Shiqun questioned the elders one by one, but they all gave identical answers.
  • Cao Yuxiu urged Yue Shiqun to accept the elders’ answers and leave.
  • Yue Shiqun asked Cao Yuxiu why the Mountain-Shaking Immortal Sect’s Inner Sect Grand Elder had not appeared.

Ch. 1375Cao Yuxiu's Utter Astonishment

Cao Yuxiu dealt with Yue Shiqun’s demand to see Grand Elder Qi while Luo Yi continued Mountain-Gazing on the Sacred Mountain. Luo Yi’s latest attempt brought him into a terrifying trial, leaving Qi Zhentian and Cao Yuxiu shocked by his progress and condition.

  • Yue Shiqun accused the Mountain-Shaking Immortal Sect of keeping Grand Elder Qi away and insisted that Cao Yuxiu summon him.
  • Cao Yuxiu left Yue Shiqun in the Guest Reception Hall and hurried toward the Sacred Mountain after telling the guards to watch him.
  • Luo Yi’s Divine Soul stopped gaining strength from the mountain, so he continued climbing and testing his conjectures.
  • Luo Yi’s vision of the mountain changed, and he began trembling and sweating as its shrinking form seemed to crush his Divine Soul and body.
  • Qi Zhentian watched Luo Yi’s worsening condition without intervening, recognizing that he had progressed farther than before.
  • Cao Yuxiu arrived, saw Luo Yi’s condition, and was overcome with shock and fear.

Ch. 1376That Bastard Set Me Up

While Luo Yi gained a new insight from gazing at the Mountain-Shaking Immortal Sect’s Sacred Mountain, Cao Yuxiu told Qi Zhentian about Yue Shiqun’s accusations and sent the Grand Elder to handle the situation. Luo Yi finished his contemplation with the Mountain-Suppressing Soul-Sealing Art revealed to him, leaving Cao Yuxiu astonished and envious.

  • Qi Zhentian asked Cao Yuxiu whether he had sent Yue Shiqun away, and Cao admitted he had not.
  • Cao Yuxiu recounted Yue Shiqun’s earlier conduct in the Guest Reception Hall and warned Qi Zhentian to handle the matter carefully.
  • Qi Zhentian left the rear mountain to deal with Yue Shiqun while Cao Yuxiu stayed behind to escort Luo Yi out after his contemplation.
  • Cao Yuxiu noticed Luo Yi’s strain had vanished and saw him open his mismatched eyes.
  • Luo Yi’s pupils reflected a stele bearing the words “Mountain-Suppressing Soul-Sealing,” and Cao Yuxiu realized he had gained an extraordinary insight from the Sacred Mountain.

Ch. 1377Underhanded Methods

Luo Yi left the Mountain-Shaking Immortal Sect with Cao Yuxiu, choosing not to confront Xuantian Tower’s disciple inside the sect and returning a jade slip containing what he learned from the Sacred Mountain. Before Cao Yuxiu could accept it, Yue Shiqun’s Landscape Scroll trapped them both, and Yue mocked Cao for his restraint.

  • Cao Yuxiu gave Luo Yi soul-nourishing pills and offered to escort him out of the Mountain-Shaking Immortal Sect.
  • Luo Yi decided not to provoke Xuantian Tower’s disciple inside the sect, planning to wait for a better chance to kill his enemy.
  • Cao Yuxiu escorted Luo Yi beyond the sect and checked that no Xuantian Tower cultivators were waiting nearby.
  • Luo Yi erased the old contents of his jade slip, inscribed what he had learned from the Sacred Mountain, and offered it back to Cao Yuxiu.
  • A Landscape Scroll unfurled across the sky and engulfed Luo Yi and Cao Yuxiu before he could accept the jade slip.
  • Yue Shiqun appeared within the scroll, wiped blood from his eye, and mocked Cao Yuxiu for having such a big heart.

Ch. 1378What Can You Do to Me?

Yue Shiqun accused Cao Yuxiu and the Mountain-Shaking Immortal Sect of defying Xuantian Tower and threatened to kill Luo Yi. As Yue Shiqun confronted Luo Yi, Luo tossed Cao Yuxiu a Jade Slip and told him to stay back, leaving Cao unsure what the young man intended.

  • Yue Shiqun accused Cao Yuxiu of hiding Luo Yi, breaking an agreement with Xuantian Tower, and colluding with an evil cultivator to kill his divided soul.
  • Cao Yuxiu considered killing Yue Shiqun but judged that Xuantian Tower's influence and the consequences made that choice too dangerous for the Mountain-Shaking Immortal Sect.
  • Yue Shiqun taunted Luo Yi about his earlier arrogance in the Pearl-Curtain Blessed Land and threatened to send him to his death.
  • Luo Yi inferred that Cao Yuxiu had not deliberately brought him there, tossed him a prepared Jade Slip, and warned him to stay back.
  • Cao Yuxiu realized Luo Yi was addressing him but could not understand what connection the young man intended to sever.

Ch. 1379Yue Shiqun's Demise

Luo Yi confronted Yue Shiqun, a Personal Disciple of Xuantian Tower, and overwhelmed him despite Yue Shiqun arriving in his true body. Yue Shiqun realized he could not defeat Luo Yi and focused on surviving so he could seek help from his Master.

  • Cao Yuxiu tried to dissuade Luo Yi from killing Yue Shiqun, but Luo Yi struck him away with Immortal Art: Tianyan Forty-Nine.
  • Luo Yi reminded Yue Shiqun that he disliked people speaking down to him, and Yue Shiqun challenged him from above.
  • Luo Yi knocked Yue Shiqun into the Endless Sea before Yue Shiqun could react.
  • Yue Shiqun summoned the Void-Shattering Thunderclap Ruler and climbed out of the sea to attack Luo Yi.
  • Luo Yi appeared above Yue Shiqun and crushed half of his shoulder with a single step.
  • Yue Shiqun concluded that he could not contend with Luo Yi and resolved to survive and ask his Master to kill him.

Ch. 1380Bullying the Weak, Fearing the Strong

Luo Yi overwhelmed Yue Shiqun, who used the Landscape Scroll to escape after being decapitated, but Luo Yi tore apart the scroll and killed him. He took Yue Shiqun’s Storage Artifact, leaving the conflict with Xuantian Tower firmly unresolved.

  • Luo Yi caught Yue Shiqun’s Void-Shattering Thunderclap Ruler and severed his head with a hand blade.
  • The Landscape Scroll rescued Yue Shiqun’s head and body, placed his head on a new body, and fled with him inside.
  • Luo Yi hurled a captured Spirit Weapon after the Landscape Scroll and shredded it, forcing Yue Shiqun’s head back out.
  • Yue Shiqun begged Luo Yi for mercy, but Luo Yi rejected his plea and crushed his head.
  • Luo Yi took the Storage Artifact Yue Shiqun had left behind.
