"Why does this feel a little strange?!"
Caron Butler clearly felt that Nick Young should not have taken that possession himself.
He should have passed the ball out. Whether it was to himself, Randy Foye, or even DeAndre Jordan under the basket, they all had scoring opportunities.
Trying to force his way through the Knicks' three strongest perimeter defenders by himself made no sense no matter how he looked at it.
"He..."
A bad thought surfaced in Caron Butler's mind.
But he did not say it aloud.
DeAndre Jordan frowned, sensing that something was off as well.
If Nick Young had passed the ball inside just now, he would have had an easy lob finish.
"No way, right?!"
He was a little flustered, but quickly reassured himself. "There wasn't much time left on the final possession, so Nick Young could only choose to attack himself.
Yeah, that must be it!"
DeAndre Jordan convinced himself.
Fourth quarter.
The bench rotation phase.
Morris led the unit himself, going head-to-head with the Knicks' bench leader, Jimmy Butler.
Butler, who had only recently entered the league, was not particularly strong offensively, but he was active and fierce on defense.
With Butler guarding him, Morris could still score, but it was uncomfortable.
Because with the bench unit, no one set screens for him, nor could they create much space for him on offense.
He needed to score against Butler in a tougher, more physical way, and that was no easy task.
Four minutes into the rotation.
Morris converted some offense, though nothing especially eye-catching. He simply played his usual role as the bench's primary scoring option.
"Tweet! Tweet!"
The Clippers called a timeout.
Both Starting lineups returned.
On Nick Young's first possession after checking back in, he once again forced his way to the basket
