Over the next few days.

After briefly touring the research institute, Reilo once again shut himself away in his temporary laboratory to study his Three-Phase Rat.

A true body was the foundation of a high-level scholar.

It was the culmination of the evolutionary knowledge a scholar had studied. Its form varied drastically depending on the nature of the scholar's magnetic field.

It also represented the limits of a scholar's control over energy.

Beyond that lay the ability to wield a Law Power through one's true body.

Before the Golden Age began eight hundred years ago, scholars had spent a long time wandering in darkness and ignorance. Because they had never taken that final step of wielding Law Power through their true bodies, they had remained obscure for two or three thousand years.

That changed with the dawn of the Golden Age.

In the mere eight hundred years since, the scholars' influence had grown almost geometrically, and several powerful duchies had risen in the lands of the duchies, led by Gran and Xilan.

From the perspective of civilization, eight hundred years was barely an instant.
