Beneath his black robe, Shatuo gazed toward Maire City and murmured.

Even from so far away, the sacred radiance of the colossal city shrouded in pale golden light made his skin prickle.

It was almost as if the city had been blessed by the sun!

"Maire City may be vast, but in both the number of believers and the size of its temple, it still falls short of Saintlianna City."

Behind Shatuo, Migro, in his half-spider form, kept opening and closing his pair of fangs, proud of having taken part in the war at Saintlianna City.

Shatuo, however, had not participated in the battle for Saintlianna City.

The local Aurora Witcher, who had originally planned to flee in the opposite direction through the Space-Time Channel after the Golden Arbiter unleashed his power in a sacrificial blaze, had regained his composure after witnessing the mysterious Warlock King from the Duchies display his might.
