This remote place on the edge of the eye of the storm was home to the Garu Tribe, one of hundreds of barbarian tribes, and as ordinary as they came.

Aside from occasional interactions with a few nearby small tribes, the Garu Tribe was almost completely cut off from the rest of the world. As a result, Reilo, who lived here, knew nothing about the lands of the duchy or the affairs of the Aurora Central Empire.

The task Reilo had given Na Yesi took longer to complete than he had expected.

He had never heard from his old acquaintances in the Grand Duchy. Before he knew it, he had already spent more than a year here.

Over the past year, Reilo had lived among the Barbarians as a Light Priest, while secretly studying how Superhumans possessed hosts when they descended. He was learning all he could about this civilization of living beings, though he had yet to meet one face-to-face.

Unfortunately,

Reilo had never managed to obtain a pure Superhuman specimen.

Once a Superhuman descended into a host, it began a struggle with the host on a spiritual level. Reilo had become quite adept at overcoming fatigue and fear through sheer willpower, and had even compiled a book on the subject. But the hosts would then devour the Superhumans, causing their Mental Power to mutate and granting them all sorts of strange abilities.

Besides Ailan, who had undergone Superbody Transformation, two Barbarians whose blood Reilo had altered with human blood had also successfully undergone Superbody Transformation over the past year, becoming puppets for the Superhumans who had descended into them.

But how to extract a Superhuman from its host had become the subject of Reilo's research, and it had troubled him for more than a year.

The
