Not only the warriors of the Garu Tribe were under threat.

The underground monsters that had suddenly emerged near Elephant Tomb Valley also posed a grave danger to the safety of several nearby Barbarian tribes. Many outstanding Barbarian hunters had died at the monsters' claws.

Fortunately, however, these monsters did not seem to have any particular purpose. Most simply roamed around Elephant Tomb Valley, and only a few ventured away from it.

As a result, the elders of seven or eight nearby Barbarian tribes had begun meeting frequently to discuss how to deal with this sudden crisis.

Some tribes advocated waging war to eliminate the monsters; others proposed migrating, while still others argued they should maintain the status quo and do their best to adapt.

The discussions were all over the place. They had held several meetings, but had yet to reach a conclusion.

Today, it was the Garu Tribe's turn to host and preside over the meeting.

The Garu Tribe was the smallest of the nearby Barbarian tribes, and also the one suffering most from the underground monsters. They knew just how dangerous the creatures were. Most Barbarians supported the Holy See's proposal to migrate, but because of the interests of several powerful tribes, their elders had yet to make a final decision.

It was a secret communication device used by the guardians of Starveil Land. But the Pangula Highlands were vast and sparsely populated year-round, so the guardians rarely came here. That was why Reilo had been able to settle down in this place.
