The power structure within the Doraqi tribe was headed by the ideological rivalry between Ansel the Painter and the prophet Doraqi. Beneath them were four great elders, twelve commanders, and more than a hundred elite third-tier Blood-Derived.

They determined the future course of the tribe's power.

Before the Painter's death, Doraqi had enjoyed greater prestige within the tribe, but it had never held an absolute advantage over the Painter.
