The farther they flew toward the edge of the wind eye, the more Reilo and the Shura Path felt the immense pressure behind them.
But it wasn't an attractive force. A massive formation was forcibly compressing the enormous energy inside the wind eye into a confined area.
Reilo's expression was grim.
The natural energy around them was so sparse that the energy coating his body kept breaking apart and leaking away, vanishing in tiny specks.
"The natural energy density here is less than a tenth of what it used to be, and it's still being absorbed nonstop. If I'm right, a vacuum zone lies just ahead. These Oracle Sorcerers seem to be gathering all the energy in the wind eye in a short time to create an extremely high-pressure region, then releasing that compressed energy to produce a destructive force. We have to escape this wind eye before that happens."
As they spoke, the two flew over a city.
It was a large city, far bigger and more prosperous than the one they'd passed earlier.
But now, under the Oracle Sorcerers' formation, natural energy was rushing toward the mountainous region from every direction like a level-twelve storm. The whole city was caught in a disaster. Billboards and glass shards flew everywhere, beast-drawn carriages and giant birds shrieked in panic, and many Poet Pigs were swept up by the storm. The damage was catastrophic.
In such a chaotic city, people normally wouldn't notice Reilo and the Shura Path high in the sky.
But the two were fleeing at tremendous speed, and the natural energy spilling from them made an astonishing commotion. Lower life-forms could barely see it with the naked eye, but to higher life-forms, it stood out like black ink on white paper.
"Hmph! You dare fly right over Windcrest
