"Sparring?"
Hearing Wyatt's words, Magnus smiled, but then shook his head.
"I'm not really interested in fighting right now. At our level, no one dares provoke us. Sparring is nothing more than satisfying an itch to fight."
"Unless I owe some other deity a favor and they ask me to deal with someone. Perhaps only then would I make a move."
"As for why I'm here, I happened to be nearby. I heard there was a Paragon here as well, so naturally I came to take a look. After traveling through the Heavenly Realm for so long, you're the first Paragon High-God I've met."
By the end, Magnus explained why he had come.
As a long-established Paragon High-God, Magnus truly had not fought for a very long time.
By now, he had long regarded himself as an existence standing high above and looking down upon all living beings.
In Magnus's eyes, unless someone was a Paragon or his friend, no one was worth taking seriously.
"I see." Wyatt nodded slightly.
He was not someone like Magnus, who had been a Paragon for countless years. Wyatt had only become a Paragon not long ago, and he still hoped to spar with another Paragon and test his own strength.
However, since Magnus had no intention of fighting, Wyatt would not press the matter.
"Magnus, you didn't come here just to take a look at me, a Paragon, did you?"
As Wyatt conversed with Magnus, Magnus gradually approached him. Looking at this Destiny Paragon, Wyatt asked with a smile.
"If possible, I naturally want to make a friend. At our level, it's difficult to encounter someone of equal standing, and even harder to sincerely make a friend. I once had quite a few brothers, but almost all of them have fallen."
Magnus did not hide anything and spoke bluntly.
Magnus's words resonated somewhat with Wyatt.
Perhaps Wyatt's circumstances were slightly better than Magnus's. After all, Wyatt had the Four Divine Beasts Family behind him, along with four Overgod ancestors supporting him. Magnus, on the other hand, was now practically alone.
"This is Audrey, the City Lord of Northwind City in the Heavenly Realm. She once helped me when I was weak."
Glancing at the beautiful blonde woman beside him, Wyatt introduced her to Magnus.
"Mr. Magnus."
Upon hearing Wyatt introduce her before Magnus, Audrey immediately spoke respectfully. At the same time, she felt somewhat grateful to Wyatt.
As a Paragon, Wyatt had personally introduced her. Audrey would certainly leave a favorable impression on Magnus.
"Audrey. Not a bad name."
Only then did Magnus finally turn his gaze toward Audrey, and he nodded slightly.
He had originally thought she was merely a relatively close maid at Wyatt's side. He had not expected her to have some background.
If, in the future, some deity to whom Magnus owed a favor asked him to deal with Audrey, he would refuse.
After all, judging by the situation, Wyatt surely owed her a favor as well. Dealing with Audrey would be no different from offending Wyatt. That would be far too great a loss.
Audrey was also clever. She knew Magnus had come to find Wyatt, not her. If she remained at Wyatt's side, it might be inconvenient for the two Paragons to discuss certain secrets. If that happened, she might provoke the dissatisfaction of both Wyatt and Magnus.
Therefore, after briefly greeting Magnus and Wyatt, Audrey found an excuse and returned to Northwind City first.
Even though she was leaving now, what she had experienced not long ago was already enough to fill Audrey with delight.
"I'm rather curious about who is stronger between you and Nenisha, the Lightning Paragon of the Lightning God Plane. A clash between two Lightning Paragons would be interesting."
At this moment, the two strolled through Jade Flower Ridge, admiring the Heavenly Realm's unique scenery, when Magnus suddenly said with a smile.
"You're unwilling to make a move yourself, yet you want me to fight another Paragon."
Wyatt shook his head helplessly.
"Just a joke. But I have a feeling that the two of you will fight someday. Destiny has always been a very mysterious thing."
Magnus chuckled again before continuing.
"If your Water God Clone encounters any cultivation problems, you can seek guidance from Parhaus of the Divine Plane of Water. That fellow has a good temperament, and he and I can be considered friends. I'm sure he would be willing to clear up the doubts of a Paragon like you."
Naturally, Wyatt and Magnus had exchanged thoughts on the different Laws they cultivated.
When Magnus learned that Wyatt had three other Divine Avatars, he was rather surprised. Among Paragons, Wyatt probably had the most Divine Avatars.
Magnus had been born in the Heavenly Realm and was not the descendant of any great family. He himself possessed only a Destiny Paragon clone.
Having only one clone was partly because his talents were relatively singular. Another reason was that in the Supreme Planes, most Saint Domain beings without any background chose to become gods within their bodies.
Becoming a god outside one's body required splitting the soul in two, which would greatly affect one's strength in the short term. If one could not refine a treasure like a Soul Gold Pearl, capable of restoring and enhancing the soul, then after splitting the soul, one would naturally be much weaker when facing other deities.
The Supreme Planes were filled with slaughter. For those without any backing, doing so would greatly increase the risk of their own fall.
"Parhaus? That makes sense. As a Paragon of the Divine Plane of Water, he must have unique insights into the Water Law."
Wyatt also remembered Magnus's words.
After their conversation, the two got along quite pleasantly. Although Magnus sometimes acted rather mysteriously, he was otherwise fairly normal.
"There's one more thing."
As if remembering something else, Magnus spoke to Wyatt again.
"Not long ago, the patriarch of the Nether Serpent Family in the Netherworld—the Ashcroft Family—came to see me. He said they wanted to attach themselves to me, but I refused. I heard that they approached not only me, but also seemed to be secretly contacting other Paragon experts. If I remember correctly, the Ashcroft Family seems to have a deep feud with your Four Divine Beasts Family, doesn't it?"
As the descendant family of the super divine beast, the Nether Serpent, the Ashcroft Family possessed an enormous sphere of influence in the Netherworld.
Unfortunately, for some unknown reason, their ancestor—the super divine beast Nether Serpent—had fallen.
Even so, it did not diminish the Ashcroft Family's strength.
Hearing Magnus's words, Wyatt could not help raising an eyebrow.
"Seeking refuge with you? That's somewhat interesting."
Normally, a great family like the Ashcroft Family would naturally have no need for a Paragon to serve as a patron.
However, the Ashcroft Family bore a deep hatred for the Four Divine Beasts Family. There were even rumors that the super divine beast Nether Serpent, from which the Ashcroft Family had descended, had been slain by the Four Divine Beasts.
"Now that I've become a Paragon, the Ashcroft Family is seeking a Paragon as a patron. It seems some people still want to oppose us."
After learning that Wyatt had become a Paragon, the Reinalds Family had moved out of Hell overnight and fled to a Material Plane. Wyatt would not pursue them into a Material Plane to exterminate them all.
But the Ashcroft Family's actions were rather thought-provoking.
