The sea monsters nearby caught the scent of blood at the center of the Island and began closing in.

Ji Xinghe thought it over. She wouldn't dismantle the shark yet. Once she had used all her Fishing Rod attempts, she could still use it to lure monsters.

She wanted to level up. She wanted to grow stronger and get a good result in the newbie trial three days from now.

After all, in the trial zone, surviving one more round meant one more reward.

So she still had to kill another dozen or so monsters.

Leveling up here wasn't easy. Killing a monster of the same level only gave one Experience Point, while killing one above your level gave at most five times as much...

After putting the Black Shark's corpse in her backpack, Ji Xinghe took out her Fishing Rod.

She still didn't want a Pet Egg. She didn't know if it was because she had gone so hungry in her previous life and been left with a shadow, but she had no interest in raising animals...

She'd save her remaining Achievement Points and use them to buy important items when they came out next week.

She used all seven Expansion Tickets. Her Space Grid now had a total of 70 slots.
