He took out a torch. Fire countered wood; that was basic knowledge. Now he just had to see whether the vines were afraid of fire.

Holding the torch, Wang Yu cautiously approached the vines. Just then, they seemed to sense the torch's hostility, and every vine on the ground suddenly rose into the air.

"Damn."

The vines seemed to have been provoked. They swept toward him wildly, as if they wanted to snuff out this threat.

Faced with the oncoming vines, Wang Yu hurriedly retreated. They were fast.

One vine was already curling toward him, so Wang Yu quickly raised the torch to fend it off.

The vine actually knocked the torch right out of Wang Yu's hand.
