Mei Chengyu and the others had uncovered the connection between Zhang Xiangyun and Xuan Kui, but although they all suspected Luo Fu of using Lan Poison, they had no proof.
Zhongli Shan asked them, "Why do you suspect Luo Fu?"
Xing Chun said, "You suspected him too."
Zhongli Shan fell silent for a moment before replying, "Given Zhang Xiangyun's temper, if he had some fatal weakness, he wouldn't act so arrogantly."
"I thought the same. Luo Fu does whatever Zhang Xiangyun tells him to. You can tell Zhang Xiangyun sometimes keeps an eye on him." Xing Chun rubbed his chin. "It feels like he's afraid something will happen to him. I thought it was a little strange before. Luo Fu may have a bad temper, but he only gets violent when someone manages to provoke him."
Mei Chengyu's thoughts, however, were on Nian Qiuyan.
Zhang Xiangyun was definitely one of Xuan Kui's people, so Nian Qiuyan had to be as well.
Was Nian Qiuyan the one who made Lan Poison, or was he in charge of covering their tracks?
It felt more like the former.
"What about Nian Qiuyan?" Zhongli Shan looked at Mei Chengyu and Xing Chun. He left the question unfinished, but his meaning was clear.
Xing Chun scratched his head. "He probably doesn't want to talk to us about this right now."
Or rather, he didn't dare.
"Then forget about him." Mei Chengyu held the Listening Wind Ruler and spoke casually. "Let's kill Luo Fu and Zhang Xiangyun first."
"They've managed to hide in the academy for this long, so they must have plenty of helpers. When the Academy Saints swept Xuan Kui Organization out of the outer city, the two of them weren't affected at all. So they have people in the academy, too." Zhongli Shan
