Lin Hui felt a chill run through his entire body. He immediately felt that if he did not look good enough, he would probably be torn apart and killed on the spot. He wondered whether his speed would be enough to evade it then...
"Let's go. Keep heading up and take a look," Tian Long urged.
Lin Hui had no answer. He was very unwilling to believe what Tian Long had said, but reason told him that it was very likely true.
Because Primordial Blood without restraints could develop any sort of temperament.
They stood at the very pinnacle of all Tuyue, apart from the Mist Men. No force could curb or restrain them.
After a brief pause, he continued upward.
As they drew closer and closer to the summit, Primordial Blood came down one after another, perfectly demonstrating the circumstances Tian Long had described.
Anyone who slightly blocked the path was killed. Anyone who did not lower their head quickly enough was killed. Anyone who moved too much or looked even slightly ugly was killed as well.
There was even an armored woman with a faint fragrance on her body. She was dismantled and stripped naked on the spot, then dragged onto a horse and taken away.
Incident after incident left fewer and fewer armored people on the road. Those who remained were all veterans who followed the rules absolutely. Everyone was listless and deathly still. They dared not speak, move recklessly, or raise their heads. The instant they heard any sound, they froze into statues.
Only after the sound disappeared did they continue climbing forward.
Lin Hui did not know why they insisted on going to Cloud Port, why they would brave such immense danger just to get there.
But just like himself, everyone had their own reasons.
