Hong's remark was like a cold joke. The two fans didn't react much, but the daredevil and Kangkang had some skill.
Kangkang let out a tiny scream and said timidly, "Brother Hong, don't scare me! You're so mean!"
The daredevil patted Kangkang, then pointed at the scenery outside the car window and commented gravely, "Desolate and uninhabited, with hardly anyone around. Perfect for killing someone and dumping the body. Kangkang, let's bury you here."
Kangkang gave an embarrassed little squeal.
The three of them were lively, joking and clowning around. The livestream had a pretty good atmosphere.
Lots of viewers sent gifts in the chat. Most of them were specifically for Kangkang, while some went to Brother Hong and the daredevil. They either lewdly egged them on to do naughty things with Kangkang or begged them to go easy on her and stop scaring her. A wealthy viewer also called out the two fans by name, giving the otherwise unnoticed pair a little consolation.
The daredevil seemed pretty talented at hosting. Perhaps he'd noticed the wealthy viewer's donation, because he gave the two background fans some airtime and chatted with them about daredevil adventures.
Xiao Ye was rather excited and spoke at length. "I love your show, Brother Zuo! I visit all those haunted houses you go to whenever I'm on break. I've even been to the old locust-tree courtyard in the capital! That locust tree is way scarier in person than it is on-screen."
The daredevil laughed. "Right? That locust tree really does look like a ghost. The trunk and branches look like this." As he spoke, he struck a pose for the camera.
Kangkang laughed when she saw it. "Let's all do that pose together!"
After she suggested it, everyone except Hong, who was driving, joined in.
