The video opened on a chaotic scene.
The filming location appeared to be an ordinary street. A row of small shops lined the left side, and a road ran along the right. Cars drove along it, while pedestrians with all kinds of expressions walked on the sidewalk.
Some people ran toward the camera from up ahead, seemingly fleeing from something. Others screamed and ran straight into the road, nearly getting hit by a car. Some stood where they were, craning their necks to see what was happening up ahead, while others, seemingly unconcerned, merely glanced over before continuing on their way.
The camera moved a little faster, pushing against the flow of people toward a spot up ahead where a crowd had gathered.
"Excuse me, coming through. What happened?"
Wu Ling shouted.
Then Liu Miao called out too.
A hand appeared in the frame, pushing into the wall of people.
Inside the ring of people was an open space. A person lay curled on their side in the middle. Their body was curled up naturally, as if they were sleeping, their posture relaxed. But their eyes were open—or rather, staring wide. They were bloodshot all over. A knife was embedded in their abdomen, and blood kept seeping from the wound. They were no longer moving and looked to have died only recently.
People were calling for an ambulance one after another, and someone had also called the police.
"What happened? How did they die? Who killed them?" Liu Miao's voice rose above the chatter around them.
Someone nearby helpfully answered, "No, it was suicide. Someone saw it just now. They were walking along when they suddenly pulled out a knife. We thought they were going to kill someone, but who
