Wu Ling had no intention of hiding anything. It was just that, like October, she didn't go into detail about her experiences. In that regard, the two of them were nothing like that lunatic, Luo Yonghua. They spoke about those things much more calmly, too. October had even made a few sarcastic remarks, while Wu Ling showed no emotion at all.

October looked thoughtful. After Wu Ling finished speaking, that same mocking smile appeared at the corners of his mouth. "So that's how it was. Looks like Miss Li wasn't exactly innocent in her past life, either. She'd just escaped the tiger's jaws, only to fall into a den of wolves."

"We're going to look for Miss Li," Wu Ling said.

October raised an eyebrow. "Oh."

"If there's nothing else, we're leaving now. Please tell us where that unfinished building is."

October suddenly lowered his head and glanced at Luo Yonghua, who was still sprawled on the floor.

Luo Yonghua couldn't control his emotions; his expression had already given him away. He'd been straining to listen to their conversation, eager to act, as if he'd forgotten the danger that had occurred just a moment earlier. The person who'd brought that danger was floating right beside him now.

October
