On December 26, 2015, we obtained Song Feiying's case investigation records.
The events were summarized as follows:
At around ten in the morning on December 22, 2015, the 110 emergency hotline received a report from Ma, a sales agent at the Guangxin District Third Branch of Wanjia Real Estate Agency Co., Ltd. According to Ma, a large amount of blood had been found inside a secondhand house he was responsible for selling, and he had been unable to contact the homeowner. Officers from the Guangxin District Police Station arrived at the house and confirmed that there was a large amount of blood beneath the bed in one of the bedrooms. The criminal investigation department joined the case.
At three that afternoon, the police learned that Song Feiying had failed to show up for work. They went to the house he was currently renting to investigate. His neighbors confirmed that he had not left the house that day and that loud noises, as if people were fighting, had come from inside earlier. The police forced their way in and found Song Feiying's body.
The autopsy confirmed that Song Feiying had died of anaphylactic shock caused by pulmonary hydatid disease;
The blood beneath the bed in Song Feiying's house was confirmed to belong to a domestic dog.
It was suspected that Song Feiying had eaten his pet dog and contracted pulmonary hydatid disease as a result.
The case remained open and required further investigation.
