I really hadn't expected Zhu Yun to suddenly pass out. As soon as she did, everything went dark for me too, and I lost all my senses.
When Zhu Yun's consciousness began to return, I smelled disinfectant alcohol.
I couldn't see, and my other senses weren't very clear either. The smell of alcohol alone wasn't enough to tell me what was going on.
I could hear Zhu Yun breathing, but apart from her faint breaths, there was no other sound.
After a while, I heard a little movement.
Zhu Yun still hadn't fully woken up.
I had no choice but to figure things out myself. Relying on what little I could hear, I gathered that the room where Zhu Yun was lying was quite large, and there were other people in it. They were probably all asleep rather than moving around. The room was very dark. Maybe the curtains had been drawn, or maybe Zhu Yun had been unconscious until nightfall.
After a while, Zhu Yun finally woke up and opened her eyes.
Through Zhu Yun's eyes, I saw the ceiling of a hospital.
The eight-bed ward was quite spacious. Zhu Yun was in the second bed from the left, counting from the window.
All eight beds were occupied. Curtains had been drawn around three of them, while the other four were open, revealing people sleeping in their beds.
Zhu Yun stared blankly for a while before she realized what was happening.
She turned to look for her phone, but couldn't find it. Then she spotted a note on her bedside table.
Her husband had brought her to the hospital for tests. The doctor said she'd fainted from lack of sleep. They'd put her on an IV and admitted her. She might need more tests the next day.
