A Yu's full name was Ghost Whisperer. Of course, that wasn't her real name, but a stage name.
She was a fairly well-known spirit medium. She didn't tell fortunes or predict the future; she only summoned spirits, and even then, there were limits on whom she could summon.
Even so, she had real skill, and since she was open for business, she quickly made a name for herself. Plenty of people came to her to "chat."

Her mother had died young, so whenever Qi Bai came to see Ghost Whisperer, it was to talk with her mother's spirit.
