Liu Miao found Tissent's map and took the lead.

The strange space around this town seemed to have been broken, but it hadn't returned to normal or rejoined reality. The ghosts in the houses along the street were proof enough.

"It's a bit of a walk to the original site of Morris Town from here." Liu Miao found our current location on the map.

We hadn't gone far when we heard a car engine again. The police car that had driven off earlier was back. The officer looked at us helplessly.

"What's going on with you? You still haven't gone home? Are you from out of town, staying at a local hotel?" The officer rested an arm on the car door and leaned out to ask.

"We're looking for Morris Town." Wu Ling once again became our spokesperson.

The officer repeated the place name, then shook his head. "This is Tissent. There's no place called Morris nearby. You must have the wrong town. I'll take you to your hotel. Don't go wandering around. Honestly..."

The problem was, we hadn't booked a hotel here.

Wu Ling gave him the name of a hotel. Clearly, they'd prepared for this. Unless something unexpected happened, we would probably go there to rest after arriving in Tissent.

The officer nodded and gestured for us to get in.

Han Yun was dissatisfied too. He muttered, "This is such a pain. How long is this going to drag on? Where's that little brat hiding, anyway? Hey, can you still use your divination?"

Wu Ling ignored him and struck up a conversation with the officer.
