The four of them weren't nervous at all. They really seemed to be playing a game, where dying only meant losing a level and some gear. They made their way along at an unhurried pace, having even forgotten the close call with the "BOSS" earlier—and the challenge of facing the "BOSS" again later.
They walked all the way to the information board and studied the map on it, talking over one another as they traced its lines, trying to piece together a map of the city and figure out where the green space was.
After all that discussion, they only managed to narrow it down to a stretch of the river.
"It should be somewhere around here." Li Yu circled a spot on the blue line marking the river.
"About right. We walked all the way here and went around a few roads, so we're a little off course... The green space must be in this direction."
"It should be a bit farther. This is Zhongnan Residential Community, and over this way is the Financial Tower. Farther on is the University of Commerce, and then the green space is here."
"The lake in the green space should be over this way. So, along this line..."
They discussed it for a while longer and made a few adjustments.
"We're here now. It should take about five minutes to walk over."
"That's a long way from the fisherman."
"Are you an idiot? The whole river is probably within his aggro range."
They argued, but soon reached a consensus.
The four of them went to the spot they'd marked out and prepared to wait until dawn before going into the water.
They retraced their steps, some counting seconds and others counting paces.
"This should be the place."
