"Qi-ge!"
The Thin Man's shout brought me back to my senses.
I realized I was drenched in cold sweat.
"What's wrong with you? Are you really okay?" the Thin Man asked anxiously.
"Qi-ge, what did you think of? What about horror movies?" the Fat Man asked.
"Horror movies?" I asked blankly. Only after the words left my mouth did I remember that we'd been talking about horror movies.
The protagonist of the horror nursery rhyme had become a Ghost King, so the protagonist of a horror movie might become one too.
The vision I'd just seen had disproved that theory.
Uncle Ghost had really existed in history, and had become a ghost after he died. Whether he'd been a ghost all along, even before history changed, or whether he'd been inserted into history after the change, his existence had become an established fact that couldn't be altered.
A horror movie's original protagonist, invented by an author, might only be able to become a spirit.
I shuddered.
The nursery rhyme might not have been based on a real event, either.
If there was some force that could make the ghosts in works of fiction appear in reality, turning the stories into actual events in history, then all those ghosts could exist.
Without thinking, I said, "Let's go to the office!"
I had to find Ye Qing!
He had to know something!
I had a feeling that the vision I'd seen was probably something Ye Qing had planted in my mind!
Otherwise, how could I suddenly have a new ability?
No matter how much of a "genius" I was, I couldn't have an "aptitude" like that, could I?
If we were talking about "aptitude," then Ye Qing, the evil man of a hundred lifetimes, was the "genius" recognized by Heaven, wasn't he?
