"Are we leaving now? In such a hurry?" Ye Zhengyi was still sitting there, with no intention of getting up. His legs were still neatly crossed.
"Where's the painting?" I asked Xu Tiancheng.
"At my place," Xu Tiancheng replied. "The apartment I rent. It's not here."
"Come to think of it, how do we report this to the police? Do we go to the station?" Ye Zhengyi asked again.
That reminded me that there were still plenty of corpses stuffed into the bedroom. Xu Tiancheng's mother and stepfather were probably among them.

He stood up first. He didn't need to get anything ready and was already heading out.

When I stepped out, I realized the temperature indoors and outdoors had become the same. I was freezing all over, though I hadn't felt cold before.
