After entering the women's restroom, I felt that presence even more strongly.
I headed straight for my target, toward the source of the presence.
The source was the last stall. Its door was shut tight, and there was no sound coming from inside.
I passed through the stall door and looked straight ahead. I caught sight of the top of a head in the corner of my eye, then slowly lowered my gaze.
Wu Mingle sat on the toilet lid, her feet on tiptoe, elbows propped on her knees, leaning forward with her hands clasped beneath her chin.
Her eyes were tightly shut, and her lips moved as she murmured something. I couldn't hear a sound coming from her mouth.
It looked bizarre.
I hadn't found the Green-Faced Ghost in the stall, but its presence filled the cramped space and kept spreading outward.
In such a narrow place, I couldn't find the true source at first. I figured it was Wu Mingle herself, but I couldn't understand what she was doing.
Could simply praying like this—or praying in a place like a restroom—really cause something supernatural to happen?
It was too absurd.
The scene was more like something from a TV drama, with a woman holding a pregnancy test and praying that she was—or wasn't—pregnant.
I looked at Wu Mingle's clasped hands. Judging by their shape, she was either holding a piece of paper, or her palms were empty.
Wu Mingle continued her strange movements.
Gradually, I sensed the "source."
I stepped back slightly and looked down beneath Wu Mingle.
The toilet was pure white, no different from most toilets. But a hand with sharp fingernails had emerged from between the floor tiles. Its skin was green, and both its fingers and palm were emaciated, seemingly nothing but skin and
