Old Man Tian Ling was the first to rebuke him. "Qin Shaofeng, do you know what the point you just raised represents?"
His voice carried overwhelming authority.
Though he had not unleashed a trace of cultivation aura, it still gave everyone the feeling that a mountain was pressing down on them.

"Isn't it simply discarding the dross?"
Qin Shaofeng felt some pressure as well.

Smiling calmly, he said, "Not to mention that those ordinary disciples would not be of the slightest use—even if they truly were useful, so what? "You cannot put it that way. If we even abandon the most basic disciples of our sects, how could our two great sects possibly have any room for future development?" Old Man Tian Ling said gravely.
"If the sects are gone, what development is there to speak of?"
Qin Shaofeng shook his head noncommittally. Without waiting for Old Man Tian Ling's coming rebuttal, he said directly, "Second, merge the two sects completely. Once this crisis has been thoroughly weathered, we can discuss everything else. Third, send away the Seed disciples of both sects."
Only after swiftly stating the final two points did he look toward the crowd. "These are the only three points I can think of for now. If everyone thinks they are feasible, then let us discuss matters based on these three first. If not, we can consider other options."
