This was a palace filled with endless luxury.
Its beams were made of cloud-crowned sandalwood, its lamps of crystal and jade. At the center of the palace ceiling stood an exquisitely carved crystal throne, embedded with no fewer than nine enormous luminous pearls.
The four golden load-bearing pillars, carved into wrathful vajras, each gripped a weapon in their right hand while raising their left high to support the palace beams.
The surfaces of all four walls were covered in a layer of crystal.
The crystal was carved with exquisite murals that left anyone who looked at them utterly bewildered.
The entire floor of the hall was covered by a single massive white-furred beast hide.
Yet within this luxurious palace, there was not a single piece of actual furniture.
No tables, no chairs, no decorations—nothing.
At the center of the hall stood the only object within the entire palace.
It was a crystal coffin covered from end to end in Shore Flowers.
The flowers grew from the crystal.
That alone was already an unbelievable sight.
Yet those Shore Flowers swayed without wind, standing in stark contrast to the lavish hall.
Before the coffin, a woman in a crimson gown paced back and forth around it. Nine fox tails trailed behind her along the floor. Her hands bore claws that flashed with cold light, and though her face was exquisitely beautiful, two streams of bloody tears flowed from her eyes.
That voice had come from this woman.
"It's over. It will finally be over..."
Whenever the woman opened and closed her small mouth, one could see a mouthful of beastlike fangs.
Every sign proved that this woman was not human, but a fox woman.
