Flight through the starry sky lasted a full twelve days.
When the silk scarf neared its destination, Qin Shaofeng and the other two were jolted awake by a blinding red light.
They looked toward where the red light flashed in astonishment.
Yet they were astonished to discover that the red light was actually gentle. Where was the blinding glare that had just awakened them?

As this was directly before the Gate of Lightning, the light was at its most intense.
Even though they had all shut their eyes and covered them again with their hands, they still felt as though the glare was unbearable.
They could only answer in unison.
Another stretch of flight followed.
When they felt a tingling numbness, the blinding sensation suddenly vanished.
But a powerful sensation of gravity made them all somewhat unable to stand steadily.
Qin Shaofeng and the others opened their eyes one after another.
