"Come in!"
Qin Shaofeng was holding a volume on divine pattern restrictions borrowed from the library, reading it with great relish.
Hearing the knock, he answered instinctively.
The courtyard gate creaked open.
Qin Shaofeng immediately sensed a faint aura of slaughter rushing toward him.
His brows furrowed slightly.
Turning to look, he saw an ordinary-looking man, no more than five feet three inches tall and seemingly not very old, yet bald.
"Are you from our academy?" Qin Shaofeng asked with a frown.
"No."
The bald man answered bluntly, "I am Wang Sheng. May I ask whether Brother Ruthless Feng has heard of the Void True Group?"
"The Void True Group? That so-called new third major power?" Qin Shaofeng asked, frowning.
Though he had not gone out much in recent years, he had kept close watch over the situation within the city. How could he not know what the Void True Group was?
What puzzled him was when he had exposed himself.
Why had these people suddenly come looking for him?
"Not three major powers."
The bald man shook his head. "There should be seven major powers. Our Void True Group, the Destruction Clan, and the Starry Sky Group are all organizations in the open. We also know of four organizations that have yet to show themselves. We had never intended to deal with them, but now they have come knocking, leaving us no choice but to find a way to respond."
"I understand. You may leave."
Qin Shaofeng lowered his gaze to the booklet in his hands again, seemingly utterly uninterested in what the bald man had said.
What three organizations or seven organizations? Could their influence possibly compare to the Ruthless Imperial Academy, second only to the City Lord's Mansion of Ruthless City?
