The Dire Wolf King hadn't even had a chance to activate Rampage before it died. What a miserable end.

With the Wolf King down, the pack retreated.

"What a waste of all that experience!" Wang Qianduo murmured as he watched the Dire Wolves flee into the depths of the forest.

He knew firsthand how hard it was to level up in this game. All those Elite monsters that had just run off could have provided a ton of experience.

Sword of Miracles and the others: "..."

Did he even hear himself?

"Don't lament it. You got lucky this time and landed a fourfold critical hit. Otherwise, we really wouldn't have had an easy time dealing with it.

Didn't you notice that its Roar skill could stack?" Sister Cat said.

"Maybe!" Wang Qianduo replied.

What the others didn't know was that Wang Qianduo had been certain his next skill would score a critical hit.

That was because he had activated Weakness Attack with Fiery Golden Eyes. He hadn't expected it to be a Weak Point Critical Hit, though.

He could only say that Legendary equipment really lived up to its name. The effect was damn powerful.

Next came the exciting part: looting the corpses. Sister Cat was still the one doing the honors.

Even the lesser mobs were Elite monsters, so they had dropped a few items, but nobody was interested in them.

They cared more about the Wolf King, and the Dire Wolf King had delivered.

It had dropped two equipment blueprints and a skill. One of the equipment blueprints was for a Fine Grade sword and shield, which it gave to Sword of Miracles.

The skill was Rising Strike, but it wasn't much use to them.

The other was a Rare-grade Energy Core blueprint with no class restrictions. Now that was something. Everyone except Wang Qianduo wanted it.

But the moment Wang Qianduo saw it was a duplicate of equipment he already had, he lost interest.

He'd already graduated from Energy Cores, okay? What use did he have for one of these?

"What do you all think we should do with something of this grade?" Song in the Clouds asked, looking at Sister Cat and Bright Moon over the Blue Sea.

"Roll for it. What else?" Wang Qianduo answered without thinking.

"Old Wang, rolling might seem fair, but it'd be the most unfair option for you.

You did the most work in this dungeon, and you know that the four of us are split into pairs.

If we roll, you'd be at a real disadvantage!"

Song in the Clouds explained. Wang Qianduo wanted to say, "You can roll without worrying. I don't want this thing."

But after thinking it over, he kept quiet. They meant well. Still, he glanced at the blueprint's stats with disdain.

"How about this? If Old Wang wants something, we give it to him first. Anything he doesn't want, we can bid on." Sister Cat thought for a moment, then looked at Wang Qianduo.

It was obvious both sides were doing everything they could to win Wang Qianduo over.

"No need. I'll bid with all of you. I've got some savings." Old Wang thought it over and said, "It looks like I did most of the work in this dungeon.

"But without you guys, I couldn't have cleared it either.

If I accepted your offer, I'd owe you a favor. And with all my years of experience dealing with people, I know favors are the hardest debts to repay."

"All right. Then what about this piece of equipment...?"

"You guys bid on it."

"Whew..."

Almost everyone drew in a sharp breath. What kind of gear did he have, if he didn't even want something he could use before level twenty?

Still, they didn't ask. In the end, the equipment went for 150 Gold Crystals, and Old Wang got 30.

That was a huge sum in the early game, but it was nothing compared to the Sand Scorpion's Tail.

No wonder the Mountains and Seas Guild had such a bad reputation. They threw money around so freely that they had disrupted an otherwise stable market.

After splitting up the loot and taking a short rest, the group continued onward. Beyond the Wild Wolves' territory lay the Spider and Space Pirate territories.

The monsters here specialized in ambushes, but their locations had already been posted on the forums.

So this leg of the journey was much easier. They didn't run into another situation where a lesser mob alerted the boss.

The Lord, a Mechanically Modified Spider, was also easy to handle. It seemed the modifications had damaged its brain; it wasn't as smart as the Wolf King.

The group pinned it down and beat it with ease, and it dropped another Rare equipment blueprint.

This one was a Rare-grade weapon blueprint, though the weapon was a Strength-based battleaxe.

Of those present, only Sword of Miracles could equip it. But Sister Cat and Bright Moon over the Blue Sea clearly didn't want to let him have it cheaply, so Sword of Miracles spent another 100 Gold Crystals to take it.

"Boss, we're out of money!"

After gathering up the loot left behind by the spider, the group headed toward the final boss, the Logging Mecha. Song in the Clouds spoke to Sword of Miracles.

The two auctions had drained their funds. They didn't have much money left on them.

"It's fine. We've gotten plenty this time. If there's anything else good, we'll just have bad luck.

"And don't think they're going to get some big haul either. Never underestimate the Thousand King!" Sword of Miracles said.

While the two were whispering, a six-man squad of Space Pirates appeared ahead of them.

The moment the group spotted them, the Space Pirates noticed them too.

Just as the pirates were about to flee, Old Wang threw out Chain Lightning.

The biggest difference between monsters in Abyss dungeons and those in ordinary dungeons was that the former immediately called for reinforcements when they encountered an enemy.

But under Wang Qianduo's electric shock therapy, five of the six Space Pirates were taken out on the spot. The last one was left with little health.

But he raised his hand and fired off a firework, leaving everyone dumbfounded.

Song in the Clouds: "One arrow piercing the clouds, and thousands of troops come to meet you?"

Wang Qianduo: "Setting off fireworks in the forest? Aren't you afraid of getting life in prison?"

Sword of Miracles: "That firework was seriously over the top!"

Bright Moon over the Blue Sea: "What a show-off~?"

The moment the firework went off, all four of them complained at once.

Sister Cat: "Enough. What era are you guys living in? You're still using those old memes?"

The four men had all started laughing together, but as they laughed, one of them fell silent.

After laughing twice, Wang Qianduo stopped and said to the others:

"Can we handle two bosses at once? The system says I need to activate the quest within three minutes. Looks like the Hyena and the Logging Mecha are coming together."

Everyone: "..."

Sister Cat: "Activate it. If we can't beat them, we'll start over! Nobody's fought this hidden boss before, so let's give it a try!"

It had all happened so suddenly, but Wang Qianduo didn't hesitate for long. He chose to activate the quest.

Then came a rumbling from the forest in the distance. A Logging Mecha as huge as a small mountain burst through the tall shrubs and strode into view.

Its mecha arms, made of long chainsaws, towered over even their own Mechas.

"Isn't that size a bit unfair?" they said, staring at the giant Mecha. They'd been prepared for it, but still couldn't help commenting.

"Something's not right. I've seen the data for the final boss of the Nightmare Dungeon. It definitely wasn't this ridiculous," Sister Cat said.

"Looks like it has something to do with the hidden quest!" Song in the Clouds said.

Wang Qianduo said nothing. He posted its stats in the channel.

"Looks like the word 'Special' means a lot!"

"At least it's not two bosses."

"Enough talk. It's coming!"

While they were still discussing the boss, the Logging Mecha didn't wait around. Its chainsaw spun as it swung horizontally at them.

They barely managed to dodge. If that attack had hit, everyone except Wang Qianduo would have died.

"This isn't a boss we can tank. Get ready to kite it, and focus your attacks on its joints," Sister Cat said after dodging the Logging Mecha's attack.

If the Logging Mecha attacked Sword of Miracles, even if he caught its blow on his shield, he'd still take crushing damage.

In other words, his shield couldn't protect him. They'd have to come up with another way to deal with it.

As soon as Sister Cat finished speaking, the Giant Logging Mecha raised its arm and swung it down at her.

It seemed to have some intelligence, and not a low amount, either.

But just as its attack was about to land, an arrow struck its arm joint, weakening the force of its blow.

It quickly snapped the arrow, but Sister Cat had already escaped its range.
