"Don't you know about the Insectoids?" Wang Qianduo asked in confusion as everyone watched Dr. Feng suffer the consequences of his own actions.
He realized that, other than himself, none of them seemed to know about the Insectoids, an interstellar race.
"Insectoids? That thing is a race all on its own?" Lin Qimeng and the others looked at Wang Qianduo and asked.
"That's right. And the Insectoids are a race on the level of true overlords of the Universe!" Wang Qianduo said. He felt obligated to give them a quick introduction to the Insectoids.
"No wonder your hidden quest was called 'Shadow of the Insectoids,'" Lin Qimeng said.
"The Insectoids have a capacity for survival and Evolution, as well as a reproductive rate, that humans can hardly imagine.
"They're like locusts. Wherever they pass, not a blade of grass remains. Every resource becomes nourishment for their reproduction.
"But unlike locusts, they range across the entire Universe."
"That powerful? How come we've never heard of such a powerful race?" Lin Qimeng asked, looking at Wang Qianduo.
"That's because humanity's strongest have kept them beyond the Interstellar Frontline. Have you ever heard NPCs say that the fighting on the Interstellar Frontline is growing intense?" Wang Qianduo asked.
"You mean the war on the Interstellar Frontline the NPCs talk about is a war between humanity and the Insectoids?"

The reason Wang Qianduo and the others could chat so casually was that the Energy Pool's shield had remained active the whole time.
After eating Dr. Feng, the Spine Serpent had slowly crawled into the Energy Pool, and still hadn't come back out.
Perhaps the Spine Serpent had noticed how impatient everyone was. The next moment, its appearance changed drastically, and it burst out of the Energy Pool.
