The Fatty had seen Wu take action before, but what he couldn't understand was why the server couldn't see him and the doctor, yet could see Wu. The latter was clearly much better hidden than they were.
Jiang Cheng had wondered the same thing. But unlike the Fatty, he quickly formed a theory: the reason he and the Fatty were ignored was that they bore the bus's mark. By rights, Wu, who was the door within him, should have been affected by the mark too. But as Wu grew stronger, the mark's restraining influence over him had weakened.
When they had first boarded the bus, Wu had been so suppressed that he couldn't even appear. But as the number of trips increased, he had started showing up in missions much more often and for longer periods.
To Jiang Cheng, Wu seemed to be growing closer and closer to human emotions. He even had the strange feeling that Wu was another version of himself.

They pushed open a door, and the blaring music inside made their heads ache. The place was packed with people, all huddled together and partying wildly to the music.
