Before he could think any further, a sharp triangular bayonet slanted through his neck. The next second, it twisted viciously, and blood gushed out. The Magician put away his scepter, opened the car door, and stepped out.
"Was it really so hard to get a move on? You made me wait forever!" A gruff voice rang out. Blade Demon emerged from behind a crumbling wall, a greatsword strapped to his back.
"Who knew you'd move so fast?" The Magician walked over. When he rounded the wall, he saw a large pit in the ground, with several bodies strewn haphazardly inside it.
The sharp-faced Puppeteer snickered from the side. "Those idiots actually thought we'd work for them. They'd already gotten what they wanted, and still they tried to keep tabs on us. They deserve to die! Damn Night Watch!"
Compared to before, half of his severed arm had grown back. Even the broken end of the bone had begun to form the shape of fingers. The bizarre sight was enough to shock the medical world.
"Oh, don't swear, tee-hee-hee..." Dancer covered her mouth and giggled, swaying her hips with a seductive air. "Hurry up and take care of these bodies. We have our own business to attend to."
"My Executioner's Greatsword is ravenous!" Blade Demon grinned. His teeth had changed, too. They were all crooked now, like a mouthful of barbs.
"We can't count on anyone else. We've already become S-rank, but that's not enough. We need to devour more Doors—more powerful Doors!" The Magician narrowed his eyes, as if he already had a plan.
"Kehehehe..." The sharp-faced Puppeteer jerked his head, and a red mask spread across his face, making him look even stranger. "If we hadn't been at Night Watch headquarters before, I would've killed the Candle Bearer and
