A gust of night wind swept by, and Zhang Junyu couldn't help shivering. He stopped hesitating and hurried toward the little courtyard.
A Biao stood before the room where the paper figures were kept. The first thing he saw was the paper figure standing outside the door. The bright red nails on its hands looked unnerving.
But after hearing Zhang Junyu's explanation, he had a rough idea of the mystery surrounding the paper figures inside. More importantly, he had come up with some new ideas. They carried a certain risk, but if they worked... A Biao couldn't help letting out a low chuckle. It would be very interesting.
The door was ajar, and the lantern had been placed behind it. Its flame had gone out.
But Zhang Junyu had clearly said that the lantern was still lit when he left.
At this, A Biao only furrowed his brow slightly. The muscles in his face weren't very flexible, so his expressions looked rather strange. In a fight, the muscles near the outer end of his right eyebrow had been cut.

Returning to the matter at hand, A Biao stared at the extinguished lantern and formed a theory. The lantern went out after each person left, which could be seen as the scene resetting after every task was completed.
He gently rolled his neck, producing several sharp clicks, then strode forward, pushed open the door, and went inside.
He didn't trust Zhang Junyu and the other two completely, so he didn't light the lantern right away. Instead, he followed his own instincts and took a quick look around the room.
Only after returning to where he'd started did he
