At night, the Fatty was roused from his half-asleep state by a strange sound.
It was hard to describe. It sounded like something slicing through the air, but very low, as if someone were doing it on purpose. Bracing himself against the wall, the Fatty crept downstairs as quietly as he could.
With Wu there, he wasn't worried about anyone attacking them.
After going downstairs and turning a corner, the sight before him left the Fatty completely baffled. Wu stood there, looking terrible, holding up his knife and repeatedly swinging it at the wall.
"Brother Wu, are you okay?" The Fatty suddenly felt a little panicked. He had no idea what had set Wu off.
But when he turned his head and looked closely at the wall, he finally saw the trick. There were four lines written on it: "With no woman in your heart, your blade will naturally be divine. The first page of the sword manual: kill the one you love!"
The murderous look on Wu's face genuinely frightened the Fatty, who hurried to console him. "Brother Wu, don't take things to such an extreme. Some people you love are worth it, and some aren't. Take Miss Wu, for example. She's devoted to the Doctor, and she's worth it!"
At the mention of Miss Wu, Wu seemed to be struck by something. He whipped around with a sharp swish and stared at the Fatty, his gaze ready to devour him alive.
Feeling Wu's killing intent, the Fatty obediently turned around and went back upstairs. Then he lay properly on the sofa, not daring to move a muscle, trembling as he listened to the sound of a blade slicing through the air downstairs.
The Fatty figured that first thing tomorrow morning, he'd have to tell the Doctor about this.
