Jiang Cheng wanted to keep probing for more information, but the old gentleman was adamant. As they continued to haggle, two people walked in through the door. The one in front wore a long gown and jacket, leaned on a cane, and sported gold-rimmed sunglasses. He stood tall and carried himself with an extraordinary air.

When the old gentleman, whom Jiang Cheng had been pestering, saw the man, it was as if he'd spotted a savior. He hurried over at a trot. "Boss, you've come at just the right time. Two people came into the shop and are causing trouble. No matter how hard I try, I can't get them to leave."

"We're not causing trouble. We're here to sell a painting. You opened this shop, didn't you? That means you're in business, right?" the fat man argued reasonably.

The old gentleman's beard bristled with anger. "You two young fellows, Song Keli's name is mud these days. You bring one of his paintings here to sell, and you're just asking for trouble!"

At the mention of Song Keli, the shopkeeper seemed to take an interest. He strode toward Jiang Cheng and his companion. There was no denying that he was far more composed than the old gentleman, but his composure lasted only a moment. The instant he lowered his head and saw the painting before him, his expression changed.

He immediately took off his glasses, bent over, and all but pressed his face against the painting as he examined it inch by inch.

The attendant behind the shopkeeper was quick to catch on and promptly closed the shop door.

The fat man's heart pounded. In broad daylight, were these people planning to rob them and kill them?

"Had enough?" Jiang Cheng asked with a smile that didn't reach his eyes.
