Since Shao Tong had absorbed Lin Wan'er's ability, it was no surprise he knew about Wu's existence. Jiang Cheng shook his head with a hint of regret. "You're right. Wu is powerful, but you should also know that within the Old President's domain, all supernatural entities are suppressed. He hasn't reached the time to awaken yet."
Shao Tong looked at Jiang Cheng and shrugged indifferently. "If you insist on putting it that way, there's nothing I can do. In my plan, he's an indispensable part."
Before Jiang Cheng could speak, a fierce aura swept over them in an instant. Shao Tong didn't even see his attacker before an enormous force clamped around his neck. The hand was so cold it nearly made him suffocate.
"Don't kill him," Jiang Cheng said, stopping Wu. "Not yet."
When Wu appeared, Shao Tong's face was red from choking, but there was surprisingly little fear in his expression. Instead, his eyes shone as he stared at Wu.
"Cough... cough, cough..."
Wu let go, and Shao Tong fell to the ground, coughing violently. A transparent barrier enveloped the room, blocking out sound.
"Wonderful, you... you really did wake up!"
Shao Tong clutched his throat, unable to hide his excitement. But before he could finish speaking, Wu pressed a hand against his head and pinched his temples between two fingers, slowly tightening his grip.
"Tell me your plan."
Wu's voice crashed into Shao Tong's mind like a wave. The pain made Shao Tong writhe and struggle, veins bulging on his forehead, but Wu's hand held him fast like an iron clamp.
Under immense pain, no one could focus enough to weave a lie. It was a common method of interrogation.
